I was just wondering how you all remove your kief from the bottom of your grinders. Any tips on not having it get all over the place, or ruining the crystals ?

A pollen press is going to be your best bet. I, however, just turn it upside down on a table and hit it a few times and all the keif goes on to the table.

I cut a little plastic spoon out of a straw, and that's what I use.

This is how I've been doing it since I've been collecting, well similar to this. I use the edge of an old id badge, Bend it and gently scoop it in a pile.

But I'm gonna have to try just dumping it on the table, might be less work, but i'd imagine you'd want an extremely clean surface, seeing how the tiny particle of kief might grab other not so friendly tiny particles.

Back in the '50s while I was sailing thru Micronesia I stayed awhile on some of the outer islands. Before I left one of them, the native kids gave me a few gifts, one of which was a small block of ivory. While at sea I carved it into a 5 1/2" tool for splicing light rope. It's pointed at one end and flattened on the other.
I use it now to clear the edging around the bottom of the kif catcher, scrape the kif into a mound,
and then lift what I want, where I want.
It's magical, really...

Well,
I use a small brush. Its actually a brush to clean an electronic razor that I don't use, but small paint brushes work as well. I jus brush lightly how much kief I want into a pile and scoop it right on in to my bowl. It's quite easy.

Nice, I just got a new hair trimmer and it came with a tiny little brush that I dont need for the trimmer and I was thinking of using it to collect kief and clean my grinder. High minds think alike.

The easiest way I found out is to cut a corner out of slightly thicker paper (corner of the top of a cereal box) and use the freshly-cut, straight corner to scrape and scoop.

i bend a paper clip so it forms an 'L' shape, and use the short end to scrape it all into one pile, then scrape the pile into a bowl.

I use a 'stir rod' that came with my vaporizer. 2-3 scoops does the trick.
