| Why do you want to grind marijuana into powder and press it into a solid? What's the point? It's not going to get you any higher and it would be much harder to smoke or vape. There's no air flow through a solid or compacted powder. While a small particle size is good for vaping because it exposes more surface area, if the particles are too small, air won't flow very well and it has more of an tendency to ignite. Powdered weed produces joints that either won't draw because they're too solid or go up in flames because they're too loose. I'm not a pipe smoker, but I'd imagine the same kinds of problems there. None of the experienced smokers/vapers I know use an electric grinder. A quality manual grinder simply does a much better job.
