| So I ordered a spacecase off ebay... the large one. Cost $95, but my grinder is about to go out and I keep hearing these things are worth the money. Keep in mind, this is bought from a "power seller" with several thousand rating points, and is the storefront on ebay for what seems to be a pretty big marijuana accessories website. The company ships the thing out fairly fast, and it arrived today at my house while I was at work. Needless to say, I was excited the whole day. Couldn't wait to get home and check her out. My first thought when unwrapping it was: "Holy shit, this thing is big." My second thought was: "What the fuck?! Is that a chip out of the aluminum?" Yup. There is a fairly noticeable gash on the side of my spacecase grinder. It's not a huge deal, but I paid alot of money for something good, so I definitely was going to contact them about possibly refunding part of my money and sell it as a "damaged" product, rather than brand new. That was until I unscrewed the thing to look at the plastic scraper that is included. It's all scratched and chipped and worn too. Ok, now I'm a bit pissed. But guess what else! I noticed small little specks of...something... inside the case. Inside the threads inside the case, etc. What are they specks of? No idea. But my gut tells me that someone in the shipping department might have smoked a bowl of freshly ground bud (with my grinder) right before they fombled it into a bag and shipped it to me. To make things worse, I got home at 8:10pm and their customer service closes at 8pm sharp. I've sent about 4 emails so far to as many contacts as I can find and left 2 messages. I will wait til this is all resolved to name names, because I always like giving the benefit of the doubt. But wow... I'm so sad right now. I really wanted to give her a try tonight =(. *sigh* oh well. |

| You could still give her a try, just clean her up with iso alcohol. Sorry to hear about your badluck. I'm sure they would refund your money, I'm not sure but it could've been a cheap ' Spacecase ' knockoff which are quite common. Good luck, and welcome to the world of grinders ![]() |

Do you know of a legit place to buy a spacecase? My first thought was that I couldn't use it tonight because if I used iso alcohol,it'd clean away the proof... but my other thought is there is no way I can return this thing via post if the specks really are weed. Ugh. lol But yeah, do you know of a legit place?

| I'd say try your luck with eBay again, I guarantee there are some legitimate dealers you can find there. This seller should just give you a new grinder or a rebate without too much hassle. Hm, yes perhaps you should just wait and return it. If it really doesn't bother you, and it isn't affecting the function of the grinder I think you may as well keep it. ![]() Maybe try one of these places? bluntbros.com/products.asp?cat=35 rollies.com/Accessories/Category.php?ATN=11 There are also lots of alternative grinders. Here is some reading if your interested Quality Metal Grinders Compare/Review Space Case or Mendo Mulcher Questions for Sharpstone grinder owners Let us know what you decide on doing. |

| Well... if they knock off like... 3/4ths of the price, then I'll keep it... otherwise, it's more about pride than money. I shouldn't have to clean a new grinder, and I should be the first one to scratch it up lol. I have been looking into grinders now for about a month, and I was really close to getting a mendo mulcher... but a few things pushed me to the spacecase: 1. alot of reviews I read said the space case had a better kief screen 2. a few reviews from people who owned both said the space case was working brand new years after they bought it, but not so much with the medo 3. It seems like mendo mulcher went out of business I'll check out those links. I wish someone here who bought a space case would chime in with details on where they bought theirs. =P |

| Yes, from everything I have gathered it does appear Mendo Mulcher has gone out of business. Too bad, great grinder... Glad I got one while I could. ![]() Let us know what you decide on. Perhaps you could take a pic to send to the retailer so as to not completely send the grinder back -- yet receive a discount/refund. |

Best case scenario they refund my money and let me keep the grinder. I only say that because the alternative is making me wash this damn thing and mail it back to them then wait for a new one (which I would only do if it was heavily discounted and hand-inspected before shipment). That all just feels like a waste of my time and really pisses me off. I almost wish I went with the mendo mulcher... i saw one on ebay, but wasn't sure if it was real.

| Just an update... the seller doesn't want to claim any responsibility because they "ship directly from the supplier" or whatever. I am going to return this thing and swap it out for a medium-sized space case and a pollen press... but I have to pay $9 more dollars to cover the difference. It's interesting to me how some companies won't swallow some cost to please a customer after pissing them off. I probably won't leave a negative feedback... maybe. I'll wait until I get my products to do my review on this POS company. |
