In the past, I bought marijuana whenever I needed it. I didn't really have a concept of attempting to save money (hard to when working part time anyway), but recently (last year or so) I've been trying to generally save on cash.

So, as a result I've been thinking of ways to ration marijuana. I don't smoke much anyway, but I've been trying to keep a bit better track....

I recently came across one of these, and I've been thinking about using one to store .5g's at a time in. That way I don't have to bother getting it out and such.... I've discovered that .5g a day works best for me to avoid insomnia.

Anyone had experience with this? Make it easier, harder, etc? Mainly, do the crystals stick to the plastic (either ground before or in bud-form)?

They work great. There are no real issues with crystals sticking to the plastic. Obviously some are going to just fall off, thats where a little brush comes in handy I would keep it in budform to maintain freshness though

I use to use a week pill box and would put .8 to 1 gram in each day. It really does help conserve. Everyone thought it was a really good unique idea I had 'come up with', but this obviously the old adage great minds think alike.

It isn't that time consuming, an eighth of marijuana (3.5 grams) would only require 6 measurements because 7x.5=3.5. I'd say go for it, it will save you in the long run.

Personally I don't like plastic if I can avoid it.
I'd buy one or more Mason Jars and put my stash in them.
Glass on glass, many different sizes.

I was just looking for a way to separate it into my daily dosage... why avoid plastic all together, sterbo?

I just don't like plastic for storage of anything I'm going to ingest.
Not something I get hung up on but if I have a easy alternative like glass then for me it's a no brainer.
There are so many different size glass containers to satisfy even the most discerning connoisseur
The air pump is inexpensive, easy to use and works like a charm which is why I continue to use it.
But heck, back in the 60's we used to baggy it, find a safe spot on the beach, bury it,
and it was ever a beautiful thing.
Well as long as we remembered to draw a map...

Well, I'm not sure this really fits into the same category as what you're talking about here, but back when I actually had a consistent dealer/smoked regularly I used to take a bud from each sack I got and save it in another place so when I ran out I'd have sort of an emergency stash.

I do like the pill box idea of rationing though. I would think by doing that you could sort of ration daily instead of seeing one big stash of weed and thinking "Hell, I've got more than enough here, I can go nuts." I think I'll try that out next time I pick up....whenever that may be...

Also, sterbo, I like the little 60s burial anecdote! Very cool.

I used to have the "wholy shit, big sack, smoke as much as I want" syndrome, very badly. I'd buy an ounce and the first half would last me like 3 days, and the second half would last me like two weeks.
