This is the voting thread, there is a thread for new submissions.

I had to go with the purple on this one. The 1st one was nice, and looks like it smells good (dont ask me how thats possible, but it is) and gets you really high but was too generic looking of good bud.

But anyway, here we go

This will be the last officially sanctioned SOTW contest. There's only been enough submissions to run 7 contests in the last 5 months. Both submissions and voting participation has dropped off significantly. The lack of activity over the past months has left management with the opinion that the intrest just isn't there to make it worth continuing.
I'm a little sad to see it go by the wayside and I just want to say that I've enjoyed running the contest for you guys

What about doing a Sack of the Month one instead? That way it would be spread out and possibly could get more people interested?

Yeah, to eliminate it is just rash There is obviously SOME interest, hell, I submit a picture just about every week for this shit!

Its the only way a lot of us have access to a Chronic Subscription, a Sack of the Month sounds absolutely reasonable, perhaps more than one picture should be allowed to judge the marijuana, as to allow more photographic and artistic creativity in deciding on which sack we'd prefer. It would also give everyone ample time to see the submissions, prepare themselves, and decided on what they want to vote on. I couldn't see a lack of submissions being an issue when a contest is held once a month....

I'm sure enough that these last few posts will be relocated, thats okay - but it would truly upset me (and probably many others) if we lost the SOTW.....

i have noticed the lack of participaton in the sotw.. i cant say anything really cause ive only submitted once i think.. but then again i dont have a camera.. i think the sack of the month should really be considered.. i will go out of my way to get a camera and participate..

No SOTW kinda sucks. sack of the month would be cool. It wouldn't even be hard to try for a couple months to see how the interest is in that. Canceling it outright kind of sucks.
But, its not gonna stop me from posting pics.
Maybe if the contest was advertised more and made more aware of, seeing as the last 2 post, they didn't even know about it till now, it could have more entries.
Too bad i submitted a day too late and missed the last contest lol.

Ok people, our voices have been heard After a bit more discussion and a personal request, we've bought ourselves another shot at this. We've got a few months to turn this around.
We're going to change it to a monthy contest. It will be moved into the Games/Sports forum in order to try to increase exposure.
Now, keep in mind if we don't figure out a way to increase activity the contest is destined for the boneyard. So with that said, if anyone has ideas they would like to share, please feel free to PM me with your thoughts. Remember, this is our contest and we need to make it work if we want to see it around. It's been a staple of the boards since I've been coming here and I'ld hate to see the tradition end.
I don't know how much it will increase intrest, but I think I'll start kicking in a 500 gram prize on top of the free subscription. Anything you guys can do to help increase participation is appreciated.
