Hey i have been browsing this sit lately and i am confused about how much weed is a gram. I mean like is it a handful or what? Also when people say they had 1/8th is that 1/8th of a gram?

it varies, if its really dense, then a gram might look a lot smaller than a gram of some not so dense weed
but its a lot less than a handful
just search "gram of weed" in google images to get an estimate

when they say 1/8th, they mean 1/8th of an ounce, which is about 3.5 grams

A gram is obviously just the weight, but depending on how thick the bud is, it can vary in size. If a bud is really compact and solid, then it will APPEAR smaller then normal, but still breaks out in the same amount.

So if you're tying to "eyeball it" then you have to also feel how thick it is to really know how much you're dealing with. Eying it alone won't help.

a "tree" of bud that weighs a gram is about the size of my pointer finger. i don't have an abnormally sized finger, so picture it. an 1/8th is 3.5g.

an eighth is 3.5g, 1g is quite small and can be purchased at around £7.50 or less

get a scale, a gram should be about the size of a quarter.

Depending on where you live, prices for a gram of weed vary, and for a daily smoker, a gram would last maybe 2 or 3 days. For a now and then toker (like me) an eight can last me around 1.5-2 months. an eighth is 1/8 of an ounce or 1/8 of 28 grams, meaning 3.5 grams. a quarter is 7 grams, a half is 14 grams, and a full ounce is 28.
