There really isn't a difference, I often use them interchangeably. But I also will use stoned to describe the body feeling (Indica) and high to describe the mind effects (Sativa).

I consider there to be lots of different termonologies for different feelings, I tend to use high, stoned, baked, ripped, fried, ****ed out of my damn tree! You know all depends.

yeah, i say stoned is when you are pretty quiet and you just sit in one place basically with your eyes have open. i would describe high as being really happy and hyper almost. you feel on top of the world, i guess that's why it's called being high.and then when your just so messed up i call that ripped or baked.

I guess the only difference is that "high" has a broader set of meanings than "stoned". It can also just refer to a happy mood you're in whether you're on drugs or not. "Rocky Mountain High, Colorado........."
