Very covert. We used these slangs to make a deal with a guy on a 20 with about 150 kids within earshot. It works great.

Slang only works when those you dont want to know about it doesnt know the slang

yeah. it was great for casual use. only those in our group knew and we could conduct conversations with no ambiguity with others in the room who were not in the know. they just thought we liked to take pictures a lot.

My friend and I used to call it playing video games for covert use over the phone w/in earshot of parents.... "Dreamcast games" specifically....

controllers=pipes/bongs/etc.,
games=weed

eg:
"I've got some people coming over, why don't you bring your dreamcast controllers with you?"
"Sure, which ones? The arcade stick [bong] or the regular? [pipes]"

or "Hey should I come over later? I rented threw new games today"
"How are they?"
"They're all awesome..... great multiplayer [=kb]"

etc. etc.... It worked great because when we went to each others' houses we'd actually bring the DC stuff as well anyway

It got kinda complicated though so we just talk w/o using code words now... just avoid using ear-perking words (say "stuff", "item", etc. instead).
