2 stupid questions: How to roll a joint?

I have really two stupid questions!! I am new to weed.

How would I go about rolling a joint? I have the weed, just no bong/pipe! Do I just put a few buds in a cylinder piece of paper???

Also, when I suck the smoke out of a bong, how do I put the bud out? Just use my finger to stop it from burning??

There are numerous threads open about how to roll a joint.

To put the bud out you can use a penny or you can hit it again. i choose the latter because there isn't really a good reason to put it out unless you're trying to cover up the smell. When I'm smoking out of a bowl I prefer to leave the bud burning so that it dosen't have to be lit every single time.

Thats when I'm with people. It's not really worth the extra effort to put it out (something that will be forgotten

) for the small amount of smoke that you would save. And when I'm toking by myself the bowl never seems to stay lit. But I would put the bowl out for bong hits i guess. But i would only worry about that if I was low on weed. And if i was low on weed, i wouldn't be smoking a bong.

Depending on how my bowl is burning, I just put it out with my thumb.... but usually only if it's blazing ass and I'm alone.

If you're a bit concerned about putting your flesh on a burning ember, as I am somewhat, you can lick your thumb and put it out... don't expect your thumb to be clean afterwards, but if eating MJ and some ash doesn't bother you, just lick it off.

With joints, you could always do like the freaks around here do and put em out on your tongue

...I haven't worked up to that one yet
