I've seen many, many, many topics on here with posts about who hit's "green" first. I've seen many topics semi-approach this topic specifically, but never try and "offically" nail down the specifics by location as to who, when, and why a person gets the "first hit".

I'll admit right now I'm not a big "social stoner". I don't smoke in large groups. Usually 1-3 other people max. On occasion (parties or music festys) I'll smoke en-mase...

Here are the rules that I, DaDornta over my years of smoking with a WIDE variety of people (don't even ask me about the salsa-dancing-latinos...damn that was good weed!)...

1. Whoever packs hits first green. (or has option)

2. If packer decides to be "generous/gracious/selfless/nice" he pasess the packed bowl to the RIGHT (so he/she gets "second hit")

3. If there is someone new to an established "circle"...ie; friend walks in...packer of bowl gets preference to start the bowl with himself, or the newcommer. Newcommer takes position so that packer gets 2nd hit. (directly to the right of the bowl-packer)

4. If the bowl goes out the hit before you, you can either take the first, freshly packed bowl--or be "nice" and pass it backwards so the person before you.

5. If you are the only one with weed, you automatically get first hit...even if there are people you want to get high off your weed.

6. Chicks always hit before I do...I want to get laid after all.

7. If it's a tandem smoke-a-thon......bowls are to be packed alternatley, with each person giving the other the first hit of their bowl.

Feel free to comment on my "rules"...these are not set in stone...but seem to go over well with just about everyone from every corner of the country i've met. They just "make plain sense" according to one friend of mine. ..

Lol, anyone have anything to add that I might have left out?

8. Don't toke all the green on the first hit. Leave some for the rest of the crew.

Right on, thats the way I do it, whoever hits first dosent need to "torch" the whole thing.

Theres plenty of green for the first two hits, its just the way i've always done it

That's true, and very important. A lot (not ALL) of newbies that I have smoke with have a tendency to light the whole bowl, take the smallest toke, and the rest gets wasted cause they lit the entire bowl. Gotta learn to corner it, and put your hand/finger over it so it doesn't burn out when no one's tokin.

There is no passing to the right in my sess. It must go to the left under MOST circumstances. Also, yes I try and only light half the bowl if I get green hit. As for who gets second hit or letting chicks hit it first... I stick with the directly to left style. No skipping people so she can get a hit first. We dont need to try and figure out who's hit it is after every turn.

in my sessions i pass to the left and only to the left. chicks can pick their seat in the rotation.

as for not taking all the green in 1 hit.. I usually leave some for the second up to hit. but sometimes when i really want to get stoned, take it ALL!!!!

That's why you always make sure that you're sitting next to the girls.

In my circles, girls have always gotten first hit...no matter what. Since they are usually in the minority, it's only polite.

Guys, this will make girls happy that you're around. And they'll always be happy to see you.

When we're seshing it doesn't matter weither your male or female, wherever you sit is where you sit. Unless you've pitched for pot, then you get as close left as possible. Anyone here heard the term "Lefty's Law"? Thats usually how rotations go, unless otherwise said. If we smoke two joints we'll often reverse the rotation or have one joint going one way and another going the other way. If a bowl is cashed on someone, they get to light the next bowl, or they're automatically left. Thats how we roll around these parts

The way we do it is the people who bought the weed get the first hits, then everybody else calls their spot and then we circle up. But i also let girls go before i do, just to be friendly or more gentleman like. That or if i pack it i might trade green hits for some off topic drinks or some off topic cancer sticks.
