| Welcome! *bows* and Namaste! I encourage one and all to visit the link here: http://www.hvk.org/Publications/namaskar.html I feel that the time has come for us potheads, stoners, marijuana-enthusiasts and the like to begin to realize and treat eachother in a more personal and "direct presence of felt experience" way. Namaste is a Hindu term for "hello" or "goodbye". It is used instead of a greeting or handshake as well as a farwell. It's implications however are quite diffrent. . . * Namaste elevates one's consciousness, reminding one that all beings, all existence is holy, is the Almighty. It communicates, "I honor or worship the Divinity within you." Also it draws the individual inward for a moment, inspires reflection on the deeper realities, softening the interface between people. It would be difficult or offend or feel animosity toward any one you greet as Paramatma. I encourage and challenge anyone who reads this thread to "try out" a full-fledged Namaste to someone close to you who won't laugh or make fun of you. If they learn and understand the meaning as well (you teach and explain to them)--then you have just enabled yourself to express yourself in a totally new and deeper way! I think that we as a society need to realize that we are all made of the same matter, the same atoms and quarks...we all exist within the same reality and universe...we are ALL more alike and we are told and led to belive...we are ALL on this cosmic circus ride together, and WHY NOT honor and sallute the divinity of those around you?!?! I hope that just one person reads this and passes this on to their circle of friends, and starts a ripple of caring, understanding and truth...join me and stop shaking hands with friends and saying, "goodbye"...instead take a second to bow, collect and reflect on the the divinity of your friend and what they mean to you. It has helped me turn my world just a bit brighter, let it brighten yours! ![]()
