My mom walked into my room, where I have a bajillion blacklight posters, 2 incense burning and some sitar on the Stereo. She just said "Typical Pothead" and walked away. My question is, what is a typical pothead? The things I just described could just as easily be the room of a shroomer or an acidhead. What type of things do the "typical pothead" have and how do they act?

We'll, the popular public view of a pothead is a lazy, unmotivated, and dumb individual. Giving a description of a typical pothead is difficult because everyone has a different opinion. People of all sorts are potheads.

People are always calling me the typical pothead. Because of my long hair and how I act or talk. I dont know. With what I dress and all the reggae I listen to adds to the stereotype.

There is no "typical pothead". Some people like getting high then getting absolutely trashed. Others prefer to do it while hiking. I had a buddy at GA Tech that used to study after getting high, and he was as chronic a user as I've ever seen. He's a senior now with ~3.6 GPA doing arguably the hardest major there (Biomed engineering).

While it's true that it's really easy to just sit around and watch TV/play video games when you're stoned, there are still a good amount of people that could be classified as "proactive stoners".

They just know you're a marijuana smoker so they call you a "typical pothead".. seriously. People always start calling me "stoner" and "pothead" after they find out that I smoke. Like if I forget something "fuckin' stoner".. it must be because I smoke marijuana and not be because I am a forgetful person anyway.. to them

Same here man, it pisses me the fuck off. After my good friends found out I smoke, they started doing this. Even if It's like if I forget something hard, like a fucking 30 digit code for something they do a motion of bringing a joint in their hands to their mouth. I just get so pissed sometimes I wanna punch them in the face.

I can definately relate. Luckily, I am a RIDICULOUSLY forgetful person to begin with so it is not so bad for me. But I just do not like the term 'stoner' or 'pothead' and never use them to refer to someone who tokes.

This also happens to me alot. It seems since I smoke pot, that means every mistake I make in life is blamed on my pot smoking. According to people I know. And some people just don't let it go, most of the times to a point of frustration. Then they'll just be like " Man your getting angry, Why dont you smoke some more pot..."

Certain things just seem "cooler" when your high. Sitars sound awesome, blacklights are way entertaining.

Thing is, most "off topic" psychedelics are used AFTER using MJ.

(yes im being uber paranoid after getting BANNED for mentioning a PERSCRIPTED LEGAL DRUG...anything besides weed is "off topic" from now on for me)
