no, it cools the smoke down and makes hitting the piece a LOT smoother. that's the point of having ice catchers in bongs and using cool, fresh water in all water pipes.

yeah thats what i told that prick, but after spending moneyy on his roor's lux's and illedelphs hes listening to a dumbass at a local headshop to not use ice and cold water because it "has something to do with making the smoke cool real fast and it hurts you." I call total bs on it but i just wanted some others opinion before I keep running my mouth haha. ahh time to hit the sweetleaf X bubblekush

Uh yeah thats bullshit. Hell you can prove it without smoke, walk into a dry sauna and breathe for a minute, then walk out and breathe. The cool air is MUCH easier to breathe.

As feedyourhead stated, using cold water and ice in a bong/water pipe will cool the smoke allowing you to take bigger, smoother hits.

I've said it before...IMO, warm water is the ONLY way to bong!

I can't explain why...but the hits just seem a bit smoother. Give it a try just once, and lemme know what you think.

i've smoked from bongs that have room-temperature water in them, but never one that has been intentionally filled with warm water. i definitely like cold over room-temp, but tonight when we're packing the bong i'll fill it with warmer water and test your theory for myself

I think it has something to do with the cold water compressing the smoke, then expanding in your lungs cuz of your body temp.

I think hot water is the best way to go, the first time I tried it, i haven't went back. The hotter the water, the more steam there is, the better the hit. Once I even boiled the water, I think that was a tad to hot though

Dam I am going to have to try this warm water. Last night we crushed up ice and filled the bong almost to the top, it hit smooth at first, but the exhale was brutal, almost made my friend throw up.
