Default lockpicking

anyone else mess around with picks? i have never picked a lock without permission, nor have i ever broken into a house, but picking a lock is alot like solving a puzzle. my old boss gave me a cheap 30 dollar pick set a while back and i havent touched in like a year till yesterday. just another hobby.

so anyone?

I also have a lock pick set. I haven't messed around with it in a lonnng time but I practiced on my apartment door and the doors of my friends apartments until I could open them in about 30 seconds, granted these weren't the best locks you could buy.

The only time I got to use it for a purpose was when my friend loaned some 360 games to his neighbor who then suddenly left town. After two weeks when they hadn't come back, I picked the cheap front door lock of the guys trailer. We took my friends games back and even left a note stating that we came in and got them, hoping there wouldn't be any hard feelings. Of course we locked the door behind us when we left. As it turns out, his neighbor tried to flee the country for some reason or another and was arrested so us taking our games back were the least of his concerns!

I've never really done it. Unless you count using a finishing nail to unlock my bedroom door (just a privacy lock though).
I saw a movie when I was a kid and they were using credit cards to unlock doors. I was very excited but then I found out it doesn't really work. I guess that's when I started to realize life is all about lies and disappointment (j/k)

That can work.. My girlfriend and I were babysitting my newphew a few years ago, and we decided to go on a bike ride and I locked up the house.. and locked in my car keys, which had my aunt's house key on it. So I thought we were screwed, but I had seen the CC/ID card method used before so I gave it a try and it worked great. I got inside the house in about ten seconds..

If you ever get locked out of a house, that method may be worth a shot depending on your lock.

I have the Quick Pick..it works like a charm. The credit card method works on door knob locks when the slanted part that goes into the door is facing you. Slide the card in and itll pop out of the door frame.

Easiest padlocks to pick are the tiny master locks. Online you can lookup how to crack master combination locks..it works.

yea im really into lockpicking. I have a few sets. When i used to be worried about my parents going into my stuff i would buy locks, practice picking them until i could open them with ease then throw away all the keys. Little did i know my dad was even better at opening locks than me lol.

But i agree that picking locks are like solving puzzles. And you can always get harder ones when you "solve" one. Theres a real science to it too that is very interesting.

I made a bet with my dad and a mutual friend that i could not pick a medico m3 (pretty good lock, once considered unpickable. obviously not anymore because many have done it) for 200 bucks. I had a year and couldnt use any online sources. I picked it in ruffly 7 months! I dont know if thats good or not but i was proud.
