What I don't get is how somebody found out you can smoke it. When the plants grow don't they grow male and female together and eventually pollinate and fertilize? How did somebody know to seperate the two for the female to fully flower, and than they dried it and smoked it. Thats what gets me

You can smoke any part of the plant it just has less THC.

Well i'd imagine if you were new in this world in a tribe somewhere, and you got sick or you were starving, you'd try just about anything to eat or to get you well.

I bet they experimented with every plant they found, its why even to this day survivalists visiting the amazon consult with the native tribes. They know what's poison and what's not... because they tried everything and passed the info along for generations.

They probably tried to burn it for heat or cooking and discovered the psychoactive effects of the smoke.

You can get high on seeded weed. That's about all we had back in the 60s and 70s. I suspect that sinsemilla was invented because they found that the male plants weren't as good for getting you high as the female plants, so they culled them.

Seeds contain no THC. Stems contain very little. Stalks contain even less. Roots contain none at all.

I was reading an article not too long ago that said there was evidence of it being used as far back as 10,000 years (stone age) and that it was used in ancient china to ward off evil, and also as a cure for 'absent-mindedness' ironic?????
