Did you ever think before trying pot or even after that you'd be a pothead?

And are you one of the people who feels somewhat isolated and/or different because you smoke weed or do you feel that's its way too common of a thing to do these days?

I used to think drugs/alcohol were the devil. When my friends started smoking weed in 10th grade I was extremely pissed off at them. It was just how I was raised and what I heard on the news. So no, I never saw myself becoming a pothead. Then I started doing it, and it was fun as hell.

Now I am happy to say I'm a pothead. I don't give a shit if anyone else thinks it's wrong or bad, because I know it's one of the best things out there. My only complaint is the tired/burnt out effect, I wish I never got that.

But yea, I'm happy with my decision to smoke weed and everyone else can fuck off.

I feel the same exact way. Im only in 8th grade, and just recently got into pot. I never thought it was terribly bad, i always thought drugs like Heroin and Cocaine were the bad ones, i just wasnt into weed before this year. I just was always told weed was bad, when even my mom said, "well, i used to do it but wasnt that fond of it, but go ahead try it if you want, i bet youll like it." and my dad said "yeah i used to do it alot, especially when i was at woodstock 69. so i decided fuck it, and get into it and be against it being illegal. So yeah thats my story :P

I felt the same as MestUp. I thought weed was terribly evil. When I saw potheads, I would get scared that they would beat me up or something. But in 9th grade I tried my first bowl (I was really nervous) and ever since, I've been smoking the good herb. Really, I thought I would never be the "type" to smoke weed. But now it's a regular thing to me.

YEah same here. I saw any kind of drugs as extreemly bad up to the 9th grade. NOw i do it and i like it. And i try to maderate myself I smoked a bunch last week and now i'm trying to ot smoke for at least 5 days. 2nd day so far, the urge to smoke is intense tho i really want to.

Like most kids of the D.A.R.E era, I grew up being told that pot was just as bad as heroin. Having a heroin addict for an uncle and seeing the damage it causes to not only the user, but the people around him, it scared the shit out of me. As I grew older, I'd say when I was 12 or 13, I read an article published by a pro-legalization author that really changed my perspective of the plant. The point of the article was to show me how "warped" the pro-legalization movement is, and how insane the activists are. Needless to say, it had an adverse affect and led to me failing my paper because I supported legalization in my paper and my growing views on how corrupt the goverment is, and the spoon-fed lies we see and hear everyday.

Before smoking pot i always looked down upon people who smoked. I got mad at my friends and just wouldnt hang out and disliked people who did smoked. Of course this was back when i was really focused on football and would drink carbonated sodas or eat anything unhealthy. After football ended my senior year in highschool i began my downward slope. At first i started taking alot of pain killers (hydrocodone) and it got to the point where i dont remember much of one week in school because i would take a pill before each class and 4 in the morning before school. I got addicted to them but stopped taking it becuase i didnt have any more pills (stole alot of pills from my parents). After that i started drinking but still looked down upon smoking pot, i did try it a few times. In college i started smoking at almost every party i went to. Soon after i bought my own pipe and weed for the first time. Now my roommates call me a pot head. Three years ago i would have never dreamed about smoking pot or doing drugs, now im intreseted in trying cocaine and extascy because hell you only live once and i learned now that i should try stuff before i look down upon people who do certain things.

When I was in 8th grade, I presented a paper about its harmlessness and legalization, if that is any indication. I've been around pot my entire life, so it was never a "bad thing." I thought about it before I ever tried it and I think it was the smartest decision I've ever made. I'm a pothead and proud of it....but you'd never know by looking at me.

Before I smoked I never really paid attention to drugs of any kind. My friend came over one night with a bag and he was like "We're gonna smoke this..." I was like ALRIGHT...boy that was a fun night.
