Depending on the size of the joint and your personal ability to get nice good hits without the cooling effects of a bong you can get pretty damn lifted with a single joint.

It all depends on the type of weed, the amount, and the skills of the smoker to roll the joint.
But personally in my experience I disagree, bong hits beat joints bar none.

Bong hits transfer more THC in volume than a joint ever will. Most of the THC in a joint is burned while not smoking and dissipated through the smoke the jay leaves as its not being hit. Even if you were able to smoke a whole jay in one hit you'd still end up burning more THC than you would ingest.

I remember reading somewhere that a bong is 80% effective while a vaporizer is 98%, a Jay is 30% or below.

Weed is conserved best when it's cherries something bongs and pipes do well, but a jay just burns.

You get the same high, but maybe not the same after effect right away. A bong hit gives you a quick head rush, I don't think a joint can give you that same feeling. But I could be wrong.

A bong gives more of a Pull when exhailed, somtimes some lovley body shakes.

Well, i've always noticed bongs to give a more intense high, with a more intense crash, whereas joints give more of a long, chill high.
As for numbers go I once heard this (could be wrong):
Bongs give 73% of thc thats in the weed
Bowls give 43%
Joints give like 14%
and vaporizers give 97%
Those numbers may be way off though.

I use up half a gram off of 5 hits and I enjoy bongs a lot more than joints. I actually never use joints, I'd rather just suck on that bong and the smoke goes straight to your lungs and you do cough a lot but a nice ice cold drink clears it up in a second. Bongs are the BEST, joints are gay, kay?

Also, when I do 5 hits in about 2 minutes I'm STONED and it lasts for about 3 hours, using Mids.

Another reason I don't use joints is because I'm too young to buy blunt wrap and I don't want to inhale the paper, just the plant and the plant only.
