Default Difference between tolerance/stored THC

I'm really curious. Does detoxing THC fat cells from your body lower your tolerance or only remove the fat cells from your body (detoxing)?

So let's say you smoke every day for a week, and then after the week you start detoxing a LOT and drink a lot of water/work out a lot right? I KNOW that drinking that water and exercising WILL remove some THC cells out of my body, but will it also lower my tolerance? Or is tolerance only reliant on how long you DON'T smoke for?

I took a break in April and detoxed. Then smoked again May 1st (1 month break), then May 10th, and then started smoking only about 10 times since then to avoid raising tolerance again. However, if I want to avoid tolerance, will drinking a lot and exercising keep my tolerance low or only help detox fat cells? Thanks

Tolerance occurs when your body's THC receptors have been over-stimulated and go-offline/shut down because they have been flooded with THC. In order to reduce tolerance you simply refrain from exposing the receptors to THC. The THC receptors will begin to come back online after a brief period of abstinence.

Stored THC on the other hand is simply stored THC metabolites that your body is in the process of breaking down and discarding. There is no real THC stored in your fat. It's just the by-products.

The connection between your tolerance and the amount of stored THC metabolites within your body have nothing to do with each other.

Ahhh shit thanks for that joshpackr. I was hoping I could help reduce tolerance by drinking water. Guess not :/

Beyond drinking enough to stay healthy, drinking water does nothing to help you remove THC metabolites from your body. Exercise will cause you to burn fat which contains THC metabolites. You don't remove the fat cells from your body, just some of the fat that they contain.

Drinking a lot of water, along with some supplements, immediately before a UA is part of a dilution protocol. It doesn't remove anything from your body but it dilutes the urine in your bladder. Because tests depend on the concentration of THC metabolites in your urine, diluting it can help you to pass the test.
