| Could someone pls chek my calculations on the Theoretical amount of THC that would show up in your urine drug screen based on this scenario? The NIDA cutoff level for positives = 50 nanograms per millliliter. 1. amount of pot vaorized = 0.5 grams vaporized; potency of pot = 20% w/w THC. 2. therefore 'theroretical' amount of THC input into bloodstream = 0.5 g x 0.2 = 0.1 grams = 100 milligrams = 100,000 micrograms = 100,000,000 nanograms. 3. 100,000,000 ng dissolved over 1 millilter of water/urine = 100,000 nanograms THC per mL. 4. assuming that about half of the THC is excreted and half is stored in fat cells = 50,000 ng/mL of THC would be detected in the urine after vaping 0.5 g of high potency 20% pot. 5. the half life of THC is about 2 days; so after 2 days about 25,000 units of thc. 6 after 4 days, 12,000 units----8 days 6,000 units---after 30 days about 2,000 units. 7. now, this detection period can be reduced by about half with vigorous fat burning exercise and water dilution in the urine. So,after about 60 days the urine ought to be testing 'negative' (less than 50 ng/mL). 8. understandably, this calculation will vary by body type and metabolic rate----but see if it makes sense on a purely theoretical level?
