| When do you think marijuana will be fully legal to all 18 and over in the united states? [Mod note :One would think that this being a Poll asking members when they think cannabis will be legalized, that it belongs in the Surveys, Polls and Questions forum. Who would've thunk, eh. Please give proper consideration to where you are posting your threads. Thread moved, no warning/infraction issued this time ]

| yall are a little bit too positive thinking. Its going to take years to change the system, especially with marijuana getting a bad rap from the large death rate for "drugs" in Mexico. Herion is the same as Marijuana according to the gov't remember? I wish it was legal as much as anyone on this board tho ![]() |

| i don't think it will ever be fully legalized here. imo even if it was legalized all the goodworking people that would actually go out and buy it would probably still be punished, because even though the "drug" would be legal, there would probably still be some way for companies to uphold a no smoking requirement as part of a job and still do stuff like random drug testing and whatnot. |

| All it takes is more and more people to keep hassling the government. I've only been following the whole debate for about a year and you can see a tidal wave of cannabis related news coming out. If it goes to a world wide debate then the anti-cannabis supporters will get ripped apart. I think if it's going to happen the best bet will be near the end of Obama's time as President. Go out with a bang ![]() |

| It'll be legal when marijuana users get off their asses and do what needs to be done to make it happen. It's going to take a lot of work and a lot of money. It's a propaganda war and disseminating propaganda isn't cheap. The ONDCP spends $120 million a year on anti-drug, mostly anti-marijuana TV advertising. The three major pro-legalization organizations get by on $18 million total, for everything they do. If you want to speed the day when marijuana is legal in the USA, join one or more of these groups, send them some money, work together to change public opinion. If every marijuana user coughed up $25, they'd have $600 million to get the job done. National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) Marijuana Policy Project (MPP) Drug Policy Alliance (DPA)

| if only we could get everyone to donate $25 instead of spending it on their next sack. NORML is the only group that ive actually seen out there. honestly i hope that we would be smart enough to use marijuana legalization to help us out of the recession. i really dont see why not. i also dont see why some people think we cant legalize it within the next 4 years...alcohol prohibition ended pretty damn quick once people started to realize its just dumb. finally people are starting to be less ignorant and realize marijuana is quite harmless. its the decades of lies thru propaganda that is holding people back...still.

| in the states? 4+ years. In Canada? Depends on when the next liberal is elected. With all the pro-legalization stuff going on, I think the liberals would probably give it a shot. It wouldn't be high on their priorities list, but I think it would probably happen sometime during their term. |
