|  Is fire alive? Im stoned and remembered my biology classes. Mainly the qualifications for life. My question is whether or not fire is alive. Think about it. Fire needs oxygen to survive, Fire is able to reproduce, and Fire has to "feed" in order to stay alive. From what i currently remember these are the 3 main qualifications for life. So what do you think? Is fire alive?

| yeah this is really interesting. im sitting here trying to think of how to answer this thread but i can't. i wan't to say no, but for some reason, i don't think i know enough about this subject to put a valid statement. its just that i don't think fire is alive and that its just a chemical reaction. |

| but how do we know its not made of cells or has a metabolism has anyone really studied fire or gotten close enough to see it through a microscope? |
