So my friend and I are having somewhat of a debate. He says that a dime is 0.8g and that 4 dimes (3.2g) is an eighth. I say that a dime is 1.0g and that an eighth is 3.5g (1/8th of an ounce). Yea it's a pretty stupid argument but what are your opinions?

I consider it 1 gram. Some dealers will weigh it up short to maximize their profit, I don't buy from those dealers if I can help it.

around here a dimebag is usually 1 gram, unless your getting higher quality weed, then your getting less weight wise.

I thought it to be a dime (10) equals both 1.0g (10) for $10 (10). All based on the number ten and dime being a street slang term for the price/quantity.

I think I bought a dime once from what I refer to as a "hood" dealer who is the type of dealer I'm suspecting will usually sell in this amount. It didn't look like 1g of weed so I suppose it was .7g or something. Cost was $10. I need to find some good hippie dealer, sick of High School kids trying to be all "thug" by selling weed like it's inner-city street drugs.

1-1.5 grams. Depends really. I have cool dealers. Seriously, I can't really remember the last time I bought a "dime bag". I always buy quarters.
