okay i've seen a few threads in which it was pointed out that using ice cubes in a bong would cool down the smoke and make it easier to inhale or whatever. okay, will this work: a person has like a tray of those little ice cubes, about an inch long, a fourth inch thick, fourth inch width(rough estimates lol) and they put one in their mouth while smoking from a bowl or joint, would that help cool the smoke entering their mouth? i say choose the small ice cubes, so just in case you swallow it by mistake you aren't in any real danger right away, because the bigger normal sized ice cubes might hurt a person and make them panic if they swallowed them.

i second that it is no fun inhaling smoke and accidentally swallowing something its a total downer. Just stick to the bong with and ice pincher works like a charm.

sound good in theory but the only problem is that the hot smoke will melt the ice fast and how are you going to draw smoke through water.

if you swallow that your screwed its not worth it just take a sip of water after every hit

You're much better off just putting it in the bong water and yes it will cool the smoke, but the ice obviously goes away very quickly because the smoke melts it.

A little ice cube in your mouth wouldn't make much difference. A bong with an ice catcher in the stem does a really nice job. Crushed ice is better than cubes. It has more surface area, so it cools better. The only down side is that it melts faster.

I think that is way to complicated of a thing to do while you're getting high.

You should definitely just buy a bong with an ice chamber and put ice in it. it feels awesome going in your throat and its definitely worth it IMO.

i have a great solution to this problem if you are smoking a bowl.

first take a the center from a paper towel roll cut a small hole about 2 inches from the bottom and duct tape the bottom.

fill with ice

press bowl to cut out hole, light, and inhale to the other side of the paper towel roll

works fine
