help rolling a joint - ZigZag

I'm new to rolling, and I thought things had been going pretty well until I got a new pack of zigzags and they confused the hell out of me haha

so there's a gum strip on one edge of the paper but it's running perpendicular to the fold that's in the middle rather than parallel to it. the papers i'd been using previously had the gum strip along the top of the paper and running parallel to the fold. How do I roll the zigzags properly? go against the fold?

haha clearly this is too technical for me, i might have to stick to my modest paraphernalia collection but joints are just so much fun

what? the gum strip should run parrallel to the fold, it always has whenever i buy papers.

it should look like this ______________gum strip

______________fold

if it looks like this
| vertical line= gum strip
|----------- dotted line= fold
|
then i have no clue

you mean like this?

and the gum would be on the right edge.
dude, all you have to do is turn the paper.
so that the gum is at the top & roll up.

haha yeah like that. sorry if it was a stupid question but I just don't understand why there's a fold there that you can't even use. i've been folding again it the other way but it just seemed weird. thanks

haha the paper is prolly rectangular and the short end is gummed... i suggest you just rip the gum strip off and seal it wen ur done rolling

The orange zig zags, or king size have the glue running parelel with the fold, but honesly I think thats just because of the way they are stored in the pack, sort of like tissues. I guess the fold can help keep the weed in the middle of the paper, but I honestly smooth it out before I roll, it tends to cause allot of hassle.

Also, if you new to rolling, heres a little advice... use the dolar bill method, just google it. It makes rolling joints MUCH easier. And while some may say its cooler to be able to hand roll good joints, I really dont give a fuck.
