i was thinking about the first time i smoked. i usually hear people say that you don't get high the first time because you don't know how to inhale smoke. i smoked a few cigs before my first time so i knew how to inhale and did. i smoked a bowl, inhaling every hit with one other person and didn't feel anything. i was just curious if there is more reason to not getting high the first time then not inhaling properly like a scientific reason or sumthin.

Well... First off, there is a huge difference between inhaling a cigarette and inhaling some cheeba. Second of all, I was baked the first time I smoked, so maybe it is psychological. You don't know how you are supposed to feel or what it does the first time... maybe it's all in you head?

That's probably the biggest cause of the phenomenon.

I have a theory about the rest. Have you ever noticed how you can go from high to sober in seconds if there is an emergency? My theory is that adrenaline counteracts the effects of marijuana. The first time you smoke, you might be scared or nervous, thus producing adrenaline.

that + not knowing what to expect.
also, when i first smoked i thought i was going to hallucinate bc of how its presented by the media like tv shows and what not, i think what u smoke is a factor too, is it mids, dank, shwag?
im to the point where i can immediately feel weed effect me within 30 seconds of inhaling. does that make me a lightweight? maybe, im a lightweight either way. but since i know what to expect, the whole getting high part takes very little time. its just maintaining the high

The first time I got high 4-19 the day before 4-20 I got so high. I have never been that high in my life. Ive gotten close a bunch of times though.

my own personal theory, is that the first time you try smoking pot, you're smoking some cheap ass garbage bud, probably got ripped for oregano because you didn't know better, smoking out of a popcan...you get the idea

The first time I got high, with a friend after school in the woods walking home from the bustop...I was so baked I remember laying on the ground watching a jet overhead thinking I could "feel" gravity. I was too messed to go home. We walked and walked through some forests, through some pastures, over some hills and maybe got lost in a cornfield....

I think it worked, for me at least

as far as why it doesn't for others, I like Buzzbys adrenaline idea. Makes sense to me.

This first time I smoked the herbal essence I was definitely stoned, but me and my friend smoked it wrong. What we did was take out the bit of the pipe where you put the weed and we put it underneath that, so we could never get a cherry lit.

It still worked though, I remember seeing sound waves come from the speakers and I was paranoid that a little girl was watching me from down the hallway. Was a really fun time.

i got ripped the first time i had a golden aura around me that morning ...i mean bloodshot i get sent to the office from first hour...they thought i had pink eye and the girl i burned with she just laughed her ass off.and so i just walked around the school for about 2 1/2 hours saw some people i knew and they asked if i wanted to burn some more so i did i mean it was a really funny experience and every sercurity person or administrator that stopped me i was like yea...i got pink eye and im waiting for my mom... eventually i just got bored and skipped out and took the bus home...i think i stopped at wendy's...that was like 3 years ago. havnt stopped smokin since..i dotn have any problems im just in touch with my inner self. never felt like that cept one more time when i came to canada and handnt smoked for like 3 months and smoked outta a can in my aunts backyard...lol i sat there in the couch and vibed for like 3 hours before i passed out i wanna be this little guy right now..

I got SO high my first time and completely flipped out.

I blame it all on my bed feeling too comfortable. lol

I was fine until I layed down and proceeded to just lay there and stare at the ceiling light for what seemed like hours.

My friend was shaking me and slapping my face, and I was aware of it.. but felt completely catatonic.

So when I finally found the strength to break out of what felt like a coma, I bust into tears out of all the new/overwhelming sensations and feelings.

All started with a comfortable ass bed.
