I just got regular brown ones, but they've been turning more and more goldish the past few years, near the middle.

My eyes don't get too red when smoking anymore. I have to be reeeeally high.

I have dark brown eyes, and even when I was a novice smoker, they never got red. It's nice to not have to worry about it. My eyes are always slightly teary, I think that helps. They don't dry out.

I have brown eyes, and they still go really red if I'm really baked. But you usually can't tell anyway, because when I'm that high my eyes are usually slits and you can't see the eyeball itself. Unless I make an effort to open my eyes.

Also, does anyone else see the poll for the thread about keeping a bowl cherried at the top of this thread?

my eyes are kinda blue gray, but with a little bit of gold, and my eyes get pretty red...but not all the time.

My eyes are hazel with an orange ring (sounds weird as shit, but its there) my eyes always get very red, but never glossy.

Depends on how well its cherried though it is fun to talk and take a little time to take your hit and not be rushed. I like to enjoy my experience.

From the anecdotal evidence in this thread and my minuscule amount of knowledge in genetics and biochemistry, no, the color of your eyes has nothing to do with how red they turn.

Eye color is determined by your DNA, and marijuana probably causes your eyes to turn red because of the change in pressure.

Red-eyes-or-not is determined by the degree of vasodilatation of the tiny arterioles in your conjunctivae when you're high. Marijuana clearly affects the autonomic nervous system in many ways, and these arterioles are normally kept somewhat vasoconstricted by sympathetic tone. In some of us this tone is suppressed more than others by pot. Eye drops for red eyes work by applying small amounts of topical vasoconstrictors to the conjunctivae.

The real question is: has anyone ever developed one red eye only, and the other stays white? (People with fake eyes excluded of course!)
