| I find it interesting that.... so far.... the majority have voted: "No, if you really wanted marijuana legalization you would have voted for someone who wants legalization." That doesn't even include me, I voted "yes, people have the right to be hypocrites." I think people have the right to vote non-legalization and complain about prohibition, I just find it annoying and retarded. Peace, HN-

| It's not hypocritical to vote for the lesser of two evils who can actually get elected. In the Presidential race, I have a choice between McCain, Obama, or some obscure third-party candidate. If I vote for the guy who can't get elected, that's taking a vote away from Obama, who actually can get elected. Obama is not my ideal candidate, but he's lightyears ahead of McCain. I'm not going to get Bob Barr elected by voting for him, but I'd be helping McCain get elected. Do I want the empty bragging rights, saying "I voted for candidate Mr. Legalization", or do I want to see medical marijuana patients and suppliers protected from prosecution for the next four years? For me, that's an easy choice. Politics is the art of the practical.

Marvin420, Obama has "flip-flopped" less then McCain (plus he did promise to end federal raids on mmj things...patients or dispensaries, I forget). And let's fucking grow up, "flip-flopping" isn't exactly bad, if you're too stubborn you can't get anything done. I'd rather have a politician who changes his view then one who doesn't. In all honestly, if I hear one more negative attack on either of these idiots and not an intelligent problem with one of their policies I'm going to lose it....again. (someone said to me that Obama's energy policy was to inflate your tires...) | |
