| Curious, do you think that if you vote for politicans that don't support marijuana legalization you have any right to complain when they throw you in jail for using a plant? Seriously now, put your vote where your mouth is stoners. Peace, HN-

| well first tell me a person who is running and promotes legalization. there are probably some, but do you really think that they have the slightest chance of winning. and would they actually know how to run the country? i wouldn't consider myself a hypocrite for not voting for a pro-legalization candidate for this year. right now, i would want to focus on getting bush out of the office ![]()

| badnarik.org/ I guess its all a matter of perspective, is it stupid to want legalization and vote non-legalization or is it worse to vote for a party that isn't democrat or republican and has a low chance of winning. The way I see it if you voted for a candidate that was pro-legalization you can really mean it when you say you tried/try to get marijuana legalized. What does it say to all the candidates when a large part of the marijuana crowd here don't vote for pro-legalization candidates? What if cheaptalk was truly a good example of marijuana users and the millions of MJ users that are not here at cheaptalk vote similar in comparison, mostly for non-legalization candidates? To those who didn't vote legalization..... marijuana prohibition go's on, you helped vote for it to go on. I'm starting to think the end of the world will come before the end of marijuana prohibition, seriously. Peace, HN- |

| Personally, I don't let marijuana legalization be my main deciding issue (Lets just forget I can't vote for awhile ). I choose to look at the entire platform of issues. If a party is supporting a load of horrible issues, but says yes to legalization, no way in hell am I going to vote for him. I think changing the general publics view on marijuana would be more efficient than just voting for a politician who will legalize marijuana, because the next candidate will just run with the slogan of "Re-legalize the Devil's Weed" and will be elected and the law will just bounce back. The idea should be to get the majority of the public away from the stereotypes, and half-truths that are running so rampant, and focus less on who will give us a short-term solution to the problem of prohibition.

| I thinkyou should. i hada relaly good response but that screwed up cause it deleted from weird forum emotion. so anyway, yes you should... maybe you just want to see bush out of office. if one of themn didnt support it, i would still support them if they won the primary...id like bush out of office. i know their general issues and all so im not going blind or anything. and is it really the president's fault? is it also the judiciary branch's fault?

| NDP (Federal) in Canada want full legalization of marijuana and because of that, I will vote for them. They may raise taxes a little, but I'll take the bad with the good. People in Canada who toke and believe in legalization, that don't vote for NDP can't really complain about prohibition as there is an alternative to vote for. However, it doesn't look promising as NDP have only been getting 10-20% of the votes in the last 5 or so years. |

| Hmm...I live in Iowa, and I caucused for Kucenich Now, since he isn't gonna win the democratic primary, will I vote libertarian in the main election? No, I won't. I believe getting Bush out of office is more important than throwing away my vote Now, in 2008, if the republicans don't run some religious right, socially conservative, pro-wasteful spending, lying, propoganda spewing nutjob (aka Bush), I will be voting libertarian or green, or even grass roots ![]() So if I don't particularly dislike either of the main party candidates, I'll vote for a pro-legalization third party. But if I really dislike one of them, I'm voting for his opponent.

| I can't say that I'm a hypocrit. I vote Libertarian and I'm consistent with most of their beliefs. I think more people should go ahead and jump on the bandwagon.
