| How many People Lift weights? The best thing to do is smoke a fatty or take a few bong rips before you lift. You get the most intense work out its mind blowing. |

| I have been lifting for about 6 years now. I used to powerlift competitively, but now i just do it everyday for about 2 hours cause I like it and it keeps me in good shape. I would ever smoke up before i go lift, but that is just my personal taste. When I am there i mean business, as lifting (especially powerlifting) has a huge mental aspect to it when you are in competition. Smokin would seemingly make that very difficult for me. I like to sit back and enjoy my high, not bust my ass as hard as I can while i am blowed. Now, when i get out of the shower and grill up some marinated chicken breasts and pasta, then I can enjoy.......(also, the munchies help pack on lean muscle provided you eat the right foods...)

| Im talking your regular workout not before you competeWeed has pain killing effects hence you can work through the pain easier and it dialates your blood so more blood gets to the muscles. You have to have your attitude but smoking intensifies it! That is why you should try it*personal preference |

| The last thing I want while working with real weight is to be impaired due to using drugs beforehand. This isn't a good idea in much the same way that operating heavy machinery while stoned is frowned upon. Bad advice. |

| Im not sure what kind of pain you feel, but you should not feel any pain while working out. You could feel a strain or fatigue, but any pain you feel means your not doing the excercise properly........pain should come the morning after........as for attitude, smokin makes me want to chill out, not bust my a**.......If i smoke before i workout, I would never get to the gym.....Hey, if it works for you, go for it......but be careful, shroud was correct in saying what he (or she) did, and i sure as hell would not want you spotting me during any excercise while your high.....have fun |

| I lift weights 4 days a week. I do it after work though (I work at a gym) so I'm not exactly able to get high beforehand. I don't think I would anyway because smoking makes me lazy. I always am in pain during my workouts, when I get to the 10th or so rep and reaching muscle failure. And yes I am doing whichever exercise correctly. No pain no gain IMO. ![]() |

| Muscle failure = fatigue......that is the feeling i was referring to in my previous post. Wouldnt you agree that feeling is different from pain, such as pulling or tearing a muscle.....i was making a distinction between the 2 sensations.... |
