my town? heck no, there's only old white people around here.

town a mile next to me? yeah, all kinds of crackheads and violence around there. same with the town across the river from me, notorious Aliquippa, PA.

I've lived in a rough neighborhood most of my life...usually things don't scare me too much, i'm a big black guy so most people leave me alone. Though I work in a high tech field and have a college education, to tha average person on tha street i probably still look like a thug with a strap in my hoodie...and to some extent i cultivate that image to my own purposes. I just recently moved to a new city...and this hood is as tough, if not tougher than my last one. There is a whole half of tha city I won't let my wife work in...unfortunately we live closer to that half than tha half she can be in by herself afterdark (that sentence makes sense, doesn't it?)

I wouldn't work in any gas station on that side of town, even looking like I do and having tha experience that I have with tha criminal element as well as training as a bouncer at a pretty rough bar. If ya don't get held up and shot by tha homies in tha neighborhood, tha chicanos'll slit your throat for not speaking spanish.

but my office is in a really nice neighborhood...i just have to remember to put in my eyedrops if i'm going to be rolling thru there stoned some evening, cuz I'm gonna be tha first one pulled over or questioned if something goes wrong, and evry store I go into watches me like a hawk...life I live, tho and I wouldn't change a minute of it

Almost all the gas stations by me where I live now have bars and bullet proof glass...just for that reason I would be afraid...I mean why would you need those if they hadn't been robbed before?

In my hometown I would probably know the person if they tried to rob me

I live in the most culturally diverse part of my city and I wouldn't trade it for any other neighborhood

The people here are so much nicer and cooler than where I used to live. I hate redneck podunk white trash so much

I live in Vegas, so I voted yes. I just seems like no matter where you go in this town at night all the tweekers come out and I don't trust those fools at all.

nope, in fact a buddy and myself were the only employees from 11 PM to 7 Am in a 24/7 truck stop back in the day. As it is now, I work overnights in a hotel, and although occasionally something weird happens that gives me the creeps, I don't feel scared at work the majority of the time.

I'm in Virginia Beach and I voted no, I used to work the overnight shift at 7-11 and it was ok, my part of the city is pretty safe, but some parts I definitely wouldn't want to work there.
