Personally, I couldnt raise my kids the way my dad raised me. If I even fucked up a little bit, I would get the beat down. I remember the days when I could see the name in his belt from my back all the way down to the top of my knees. That was truely fucked up, I could never do that to kids. Ever since he did that to me as a kid, Ive always promised myself that I would never treat my kids like that. Hell, I remember when I was in middle school in gym class. I was going to take a shower, and the coaches stand there to make sure nothing happens. I was asked by one of the coaches how I got all the bruises on my back, and it turned into a big ass ordeal with the school and the state and my parents.


My mom on the other hand, is a sweet lady, who has all that motherly instinct. Shes a good mom. I can only hope my girlfriend (and soon to be wife, she just dont know it yet) will be like my mom to my kids.


Anyways, whats your opinions on shit guys?

i can't vote, because it's a yes and no. yes, because they raised me with all the love they could give and tried their best and gave me so many chances and were as understanding as possible. but no because they were too conservative and religious for my taste.

edit: but i don't like kids. they annoy the fuck outta me

I went with no because I always swore I would never put my child through what I went through with my Mom. However, I am a lot like my Dad, and my daughter has a lot of his qualities.

Well said. I also agree with you about yes or no. My parents loved and supported me, taught me morals and the difference between good and wrong. But once I turned into a teenager they lost compleat control over what I did. >.> But from what they've taught me I don't go getting into trouble and shit. They compleatly trust me. Lol, my parents are dope shit, now that I think about it. =D

I'd probably raise my kids differently... let them openly experience more things and I'd have an open mind (unlike my mom.) child-parent relationships are kinda weird though, so you never know what to expect


I think my parents have done and are doing a decent job... they try to raise me the way they think is right even though I disagree at times, but hey thats life

I still have a while before any of that comes up though (I hope lol)

well im 21 and ima raise my kids the same way my parents raised me they made me who i am today responsible.. if it wasnt for them i dont know where id be sometimes your gotta go thorigh rough times to make you into a good person. thats how i see it..
