| ![]() http://medialab.freaknet.org/shem/ : Virtuosity .* What makes it Happen? Is there some Forumla? Or Perhaphs a Theory of Set of Rules one could follow to See Things Differently and be able to Convey your music in such a way that strikes such cunning perfection... beauty? Significance? Acuracy even? (it sorta depends on what were talking about and whatever the piece in question is trying to accomplish...) or is it just Pure Luck? Set and Setting? Medical Deformity? (Einstien was missing his Slyvian Fissure Which made him Able to make complex Mathmatical Equations in his head clearer and with more efficiency. could other deformations of the brain lead to having the upper hand in music perhaphs?) I was wonderin... how would all of these elements come together and which ones are (if any) are Entirely Neccasary and which areant? overall, its obvious its the reaction of cuase and effect... i mean. they get raised in a certain way and learn certain functions and boundrys in life, make certain dicisions about how to live and take in information in a certain way. They say whats there before the age of 7 is there for life . what if a child was just exposed to art and the science of sound (self percieved... perhaphs seeing the rain drops dance on the glass of the windowsill everytime it rained as a baby would cuase the child to have vivid dreams about what exactly is occuring and perhaphs going on amazing adventures in his mind exploring the possibilitys... taking what hes seen in life and mixing it with alittle bit of nature instinct and the geometry of yesterday he becomes a raindrop and slides against the glass and falls into a dense mysterious forest of color and imagination. (to him all he sees in everyday life is the top of some bushes by the bottom of the window, anything could be down there... maybe just a child learning to explore things as much with his imagination as possible is important for virtuosity to occur??? i mean if this kid is still thinking like this when hes 18 what would happen? i mean obviously hes gunna know what things are and everything but what if it just developes with the child... maybe by now he is in the point of his life where he is supposed to be just getting into college and still has fanatical dreams of extreme depth and feelings and vivid landscapes and spaceships... a deep dark sea of thoughts and at the deepest points of sleep even questioning deep inside "am i dead? is this death??? Where am i? Lets Journey outside of this blackness and lets explore this world".... he then creates one with his will of thought and journeys more into his minds cycles and process' and explores his inner most memorys... perhaphs hes just so in tune with himself and self-aware (knowing hes only the perception of himself and that "self" is created by things we are unaware of... ex; as cavemen we lived without knowledge of technology or what made us work... all we knew is we were alive and our instincts kept us alive... howver process' on earth and within the body were still taking place in which we have no dirct control over, your body still produced spinal fluid/semen/white blood cells/etc,etc... and used it accordingly... the distortions in the space/time grid (gravity) still held earth in a steady roation around the sun.... and the water cycle kept on going... the billions and trillions of cycles and process around us we havent even discovered/studied at that point in time still happened and then again this is happening everywhere in space and time... on every planet and everywhere in the known RELAVENT universe. (those that exist similar to ours, i cant talk about those which are nothing like ours) yet the cavemen still lived everyday and never knew any of this... but if u think about it its alot like bieng blind ur whole life and NEVER seeing ANYTHING visual and bieng put into a gym and having a basket ball thrown to u... u catch it... u say (this ball was thrown to me, i can only grasp certain dimensions of it and i kno some one threw it to me... now thinka bout all that had to happen for THAT EXACT ball to be thrown to u... the universe had to somehow start (or al;ways exist) or SOMETHING and eventually start making solid matter and then it had to make earrth and seas and single celled life had to start then they had to move to land and eventually humans would have to become sentient and make civilization and citys and whatnot and make a ball Co. and then somebody had to buy it and we all had to be born and have everything happen to the exact same way or similar way that would eventually lead to us making up this situation... both realistically and hypothetically... and when it all comes down to it... u get the ball... all u can see (or should i say feel) is all u have, that doesnt mean thats all thats there... i mean imagine suddenly bieng able to see for the FIRST TIME EVEr perfectly out of no where (hypothetically of course) and u saw the ball... u would suddenly become aware of SOOOOOO much more.... u would be un-numb and aware to all elements of the visual perspective such as color and hue and visual heighthd , depht, width... its like this with our bodys... we get born and live in this existance but never stop to thinka bout how its just like bieng in a dark room with a big screen on 1 side... u can never actually turn around..... yet its somehow bieng powered by the food u eat and water u drink and energy u create... yet... where is this dark room??? is it a "sub universe"???? hmmm ill talk about this more later... theres alot to be said and i need more coffee... anywho i understand this topic at hand is virtuosity, see that what im discussing is relative to the topic becuz these outterworldly ideas effect virtuosity even bieng a possibility in the first place... say for example somebody thought about this all the time... and was very open minded or self aware... is the presence of some sort of physical avantage (or deformity such as einstiens that turns out good in the long run) always needed? or can a person thats pretty generic (i kno theres no such thing as a generic person becuase not only is there no standard for standard but not everyone is the same... just picture your average joe...) be exposed to just the right feelings and emotions and/or turn of events create virtuosity??? can virtuosity be dormant??? somebody that would just naturally be good at music only discovering having "a thing" for music only doing so if the conditions in his life lead him to music ? (a childhood friends dad always listening to lynryd skynryd in the car????) lets hear your ideas.... i kno its sorta all over the place but this is just the way i think, besides, i want to hear what u have to say. ~ Luis.
