| Which do you prefer? I like Mac's better. I've used PC (Dells, Gateways, Emachine, etc., and even built my own) and then a few years ago I got a MacBook. Definitely the best computer I've had |

| A PC is like a Chevy pickup truck. It hauls your shit and gets you from point A to point B. A Mac is like Mercedes 450 SL. It hauls your shit, gets you from point A to point B, and does it elegantly, easily, quietly, and simply.

| I think that the way Buzzby phrased it summs it up quite well. I own multiple PC's and Macs, I mostly use my Mac, however. |

| It depends on what you want out of a computer. I have a PC and my brother has a Mac, I like his mac, but I prefer my PC. ![]()

| I agree with buzzby, but ever since I got my Mac I hate using PCs. I have a few friends who feel the opposite though |

| Nicely put Buzzby. I feel like the functionality of Macs and the streamlined Mac OS is far better than PC's with Windows or Linux. It's just an incredibly useful, simple, well designed, well thought out and thorough piece of technology. I enjoy my Mac very much : )

| FunkySkunky, you've obviously never used a system that's been properly set up with linux. |

| One of the beauties of owning a Mac is that you get not only the easy-to-use Mac OS X, you also have a fully-functional UNIX machine running behind the scenes. That's because the Mac OS runs on top of BSD-UNIX. Through the Terminal application, you can run any UNIX application, including GUIs like X11. If you're willing to spend the bucks to buy a copy of Windows XP or Vista, you can run that on your Mac as well. You can use Apple's own Boot Camp software and boot into either OS. Or you can spend a few more bucks for virtualization software that will allow you to run Windows in a window on your Mac desktop or simply run Windows applications as though they were Mac applications. For $300 more than the cost of the Mac you can have a computer that runs all three of the most popular personal computer operating systems. |
