| One that isn't full of corrupt politicians who line their pockets at the expense of the working class. One that serves its people, regardless of social class, with justice and liberty; ensuring their freedom. One that isn't full of secret agendas and deceptive lies. One that doesn't prey on the weak, police the globe and insists on its absolute righteousness. One that coexists peacefully with the world.... Other than that I don't really care who my leaders are or the system, as long the obligations I listed are fulfilled you already living in a perfect society, so who cares? ![]()

| I believe that de-globalization is key to saving the world. It should come to no big suprise that the way we live today is destroying the world. I believe that our top priority should be changing the way we live. If we don't, the world we be gone by 2050. I actually have another thread where I express alot of my veiws on the subject. http://www.marijuana.com/philosophy/...end-world.html if you wanna check it out. |

| Yeah, well... you're a bit bonkers. ![]() We don't need to de-globalize, we just need to be more intelligent in how and where we build. |

| Heh, =) You make me laugh Trocisp, in a good way. Yes, I believe that there are two (probally many more actually) solutions. 1.) End the opressed/opresser relationship (Paulo Freire) with the producers and the producees, or 2.) end the cycle alltogether. Ive always been the radical leaning towards the solution that seems to end the most problems, so I naturally lean to the end of Globalization altoghther. I don't think that we will stop paing Ethiopians 23c per kilo of coffee beans anytime soon. I don't like the idea of others slaving just so us fat Americans can have our starbucks coffees. I think it would be great if we could stop the opressed/opresser relationship between the supplier and buyer. I simply don't forsee that happning, simply because those in power care about one thing - money. Thats why (in my mind) we need to take those in power out of power, and ablolish globlization for ourselfs. |

| I want anarchy in the sense that I can live on a piece of land and do whatever the hell I want to do as long as I don't hurt anyone else. Luckily there are still remote enough places in the good ole USA that I can get away with a lot of stuff. |

| I want... like... one of those societies where like... one guy grows carrots... and like... the other guy grows celery, and then they trade like... the celery for the carrots, man ![]() One guy protects people in exchange for the celery. Another guy teaches the children in exchange for protection and carrots. Kind of like a cop and a teacher... but like... more relaxed. One of those societies where I can just sit around and do nothing if I want to... cause there's enough celery for everyone, you know?

| I'd like to see a government... ...where the people's opinions really matter. People live in the state (state meaning nation), they live by the state's laws, and they should have a say in what goes on and how things are decided. ...that applies harm reduction policies to things like drugs and alcohol. People are, as they have for thousands of years, going to do drugs and seek intoxication in various forms and for various reasons (religious, recreational, etc). Harm reduction is, in my opinion, the only thing that will allow people to do what they want without creating a system where people are persecuted for being human and for doing things that humans were designed to do. ...where laws are applied equally and fairly and with the people's best interests in mind. ...where justice is the top priority of laws and law enforcement. Similarly, where the police admit when they are wrong and avoid at all costs situations where an individual's rights are violated. ...where politicians listen to the people whom they represent rather than the people with the deepest pockets. ...where things like healthcare and education are not luxuries, but rather, opportunities that are available to all. ...that respects the common man rather than viewing him as someone who does not know what is best for him and his family. ...where tax money is spent reasonably and responsibly and, once again, with the people's best interest in mind. ...that is honest and accountable in the truest sense of the terms. If they make a mistake, admit it and correct it - don't deny it and sweep it under the rug or leave it for someone else to clean up. ...that is peaceful. That doesn't meddle in the affairs of other countries unless the situation truly calls for action (as with the situation in Nazi Germany - few would deny that international help was needed to save the people who were being persecuted there for their heritage and religious beliefs). ...that avoids war. No preemptive attacks, no bombing for oil, no fighting with others because they have different ideas on how to run their own countries. ...that respects the differences that are inherent in individuality. No person should be put on a pedestal, likewise, no person should be ridiculed for thinking something different or obscure. ...that does not exploit other countries for cheap labor and resources. No sweatshops, no outsourcing production to avoid restrictions on pollution or contamination of the environment. ...that restricts patent laws, monopolies and intellectual property restrictions. Not to the point where people's ideas are not their own, but so much as would restrict corporations from jacking up prices, creating monopolies and exploiting people such that they cannot afford the food, medicine or other goods they need to survive. ...that values the environment and the right to life that the earth provides us with. A government that recognizes that without the earth, we have nowhere to live, and does what it can to ensure that there is clean air to breathe and plenty of natural resources available to future generations. ...that learns from the mistakes of the past, focuses on making the best of our present situation, and plans on a brighter and better future for generations to come. ...where free speech is not limited, where people are not challenged for thinking and coming up with new ideas. ...where constant debate is welcomed. Where people are allowed and even encouraged to step forward and voice their grievances and make new suggestions with improvement always in mind. ...where individuals have final say over their health and their own bodies. This includes allowing people who are dying of terminal illness to take their own lives. It includes allowing abortions and letting anyone and everyone have access to contraception and medicine. ...where food is grown organically and shared among all the hungry people. Everyone has to eat to survive, everyone should be fed until they are full and not left starving. ...where rehabilitation is the primary goal of catching people who break the laws. Where people are given opportunities, above all else, to do community service or take part in diversionary programs rather than being sent to prison. Oh I could go on forever. Of course, all of this is a pipe dream. Someday I'll get rich and buy an island and live how I want to live...
