Default Withdrawal symptoms

I get a little irritable for like a day, but what I'd really like to know is, do you guys sweat profusely for about a week? Geesh, I'm dripping sweat here. Yeah, I've quit over a hand full of times in the past 15 years and this happens every time. I remember times when it took my bed over 12 hours to dry.

Aren't these symptoms signs that it is physically addictive? I've had a couple doctors tell me so. Although, it doesn't compare to the mental addiction.

I don't think I get what you would call the exact symptoms of withdrawal but I just feel off-centered. That's probably because I was just at a house for a week where we could smoke whenever we wanted. Now, without blazing up it feels incredibly weird but I can function.

Any withdrawal symptoms you experience are purely functions of mental dependence.

Marijuana (THC) has no actual physical addiction.

So that fever of 100 and those runs, all a product of you, same goes for the sweat.

He's right. There is no physical dependence to marijuana. Nicotine is another story, trust me on this, it's a bitch! I can stop using marijuana with no ill effects whatsoever. I quit smoking cigarettes 17 days ago. It's been difficult, cravings have been very bad at times. Not feeling well, headaches, etc. That, is real withdrawl.

The only thing I get is sleep disruption. After a couple of days of not smoking, I'll start having vivid dreams every night for about 2-3 weeks. Waking up during the night will also happen more often.

i sometimes smoke to help me with sleep, just in case i fall into a bad habit of waking up late or going to sleep late. a few days after i find it a bit tough to sleep, but it all goes away eventually.

Pardon the groans, but I wouldn't go as far as to make claims like that... I'm starting to think that it may depend on the person. Also, by his logic, one could argue that everything is in our head.

I'll say that the irritability from quitting cigarettes lasted like at least 30 times longer than that of quitting pot (a month as opposed to a day) and it was more severe, but I didn't get any other withdrawal symptoms like you are experiencing. I don't want to make the addiction to pot, if there is any, sound like it could seriously be compared to that of cigarettes, but geesh, them sweats I get when I quit pot really soak my bed! You'd think I just got out of the pool.

I say again, it may depend on the person. There is something, I've yet to figure out, about my body that make me sweat profusely anyway, and it goes completely whack when I quit pot... Is that physical addiction like the doctors thought, or is something else happening?

Pardon the groans? Well, I didn't groan you just because I disagreed with you. I usually save groans for real jerks.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe in horrible physical withdrawl from marijuana because I have never seen it, in myself, or anyone else who has taken a break for any amount of time.

I do, however, know how bad withdrawl from nicotine is, and I also have some experience with Methadone withdrawl. It is a horrible experience, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
