Exactly!!!!!

I think arrogance and greed is what started all of this. You have to be arrogant to be racist, and that's what Reefer Madness spouted -'marijuana is an evil drug and white women that use it find themselves with black men...etc'. Racism started it, greed took off with it. I think once greed entered the picture, it became political.

Lightbulb I couldn't agree more!!!!!!

With politics the way they are, everyone has to support prohibition or they won't stand a chance as far as getting a single vote from anyone other than the people that are for legalization. I don't even think that it should be made an issue with everything else that they have to throw back and forth...like gay marriage or terrorism or the current war issues. Couldn't this country pull it's head out of its ass and figure out what's really important to make a political issue when running and what to make an issue after they are in office?

And that's my 2 cents!!!!! Back to my paper.

Default Is "majority" the same as "mainstream"?

With 217 people voting "Yes" we can suggest this is somewhat reflective of the mainstream of people who have some knowledge/awareness of cannabis prohition issues.

I, of course, think or see that it is pure politics.

Take the DEA and hemp... What's up with that?

Do you REALLY think they give a f*ck about you or your health?

They betray the reality mof things when they whine about hemp foods interfeing with drug testing.

Who benefits from drug testing? Who is most harrassed from Drug testing?

Who benefits most from having industrial hemp suppressed? (The answer is NOT Bill Clinton.)

It is all politics.

Are you soft on crime you legalizing liberal?? What about the children?

We cant believe you would harm the children like that!

It's clearly a backbone of America's current flirtation with Fascism.

Either you believe in reefer madness, or you are...yep...a legalizing liberal who hates 'murica".

Exactly, and legalization won't happen with Kerry or Bush. That brings me back to why we must stop voting for who the media wants us to vote for. Whens the last time you hear tv news mention the word Libertarian?

Voting prohibition is so disrespectful thinking about all the people killed by this drug war. I don't think I could just disregard them and vote for a prohibitionist who has intent on continuing and increasing this chaos.

Too extreme? Look at our endless laws, our endless wars, now thats extreme.

I guess this is kinda pointless, its like trying to explain good or bad to talking sheep. Their mind is set.

Peace, HN-

Exclamation

I think that everything should be made legal. What somone does with their bodies is their own business. Legalization would also stop a lot of gang activity. It would also stop me from getting people from enforcing their morals.

legalize it already, enough people smoke n sell it. They wont legalize weed, but they sell cigarettes which are far more worse. i dont think there is nothing bad about weed, it keeps tha peace in my house and it makes me get better grades in school.... i smoke n hit tha books. Also, no deaths have been linked to marijuana, but there has been very many form alcohol...get what im saying

i for one would LOVE to see one of those self righteous SOBs stand up and say "Yeah....I inhaled......and I LIKED it" You know they all did it. I bet they would win an election hands down. I think the politicians would be absolutely amazed at how many "responsible productive" adult members of society really smoke out on a regular basis. They underestimate us!!!!!
Party on!

Lightbulb Tax it and leave me alone !!!

I am tired of my government spending my tax money to persecute me! Stop the stupid persecution, prosecution and other wastes of time and money. Since the government is always looking for more money, why don't they legalize and tax marijuana. Being legal, it seems would lower the cost of the product, and a tax on it would bring the cost back up to where it is right now. It could be quality controlled and legally sold at pharmacies to adults only, much like tobacco now is. The government wouldn't know what to do with all the new revenue they would be burried in. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I'll pay to play, if it means I won't have to worry about big brother watching, and waiting to pounce on me.
