i have answered the poll as a recreational user,howerver, the more you think about it, that is only originally why i started to smoke.





now when I think about it , I use it for many reasons. medicinally being one. unfortunatly it is self prescribed.

I used to use bud for recreation back when I was a teen. Now that I am approaching 50, I use it for menopause symptoms. It helps with hot flashes and mood swings and generally makes me an easier person to get along with. Nobody warned me that menopause would be this sucky!

I voted recreationally, but I use it medicinally as well. my state has no medical marijuana laws in place.

I also would say that if I didnt smoke MJ, I wouldnt go get a prescription for anything to take its place.

So recreational, for me.

For me it is for more than one reason however recreationally would be the most common usage. I do self medicate pain and nausea with marijuana and I do think it has had an influence on my spiritual self but to get all righteous and pretend that recreational use is not #1 on my list would be a lie to myself and the community here.

I voted recreational, but really everything except being a non-smoker applies. I do some really deep thinking when I'm stoned; the plant has helped me figure out a lot of things about my life and where it's going. I also self-medicate for my nausea, it's the only thing that works. But still primarily it's recreational for me. Nothing relaxes me after a long day like a nice fat bowl, it makes conversations with friends way better, and it just basically makes anything more fun.

I suffer from moderate to severe anxiety, bi-polar seasonal depression, and ADHD. I also use it recreationally and for sociallizing. I feel that it relieves my symptoms and stress while letting me enjoy the company of others in a worry free environment. I also have a pretty bad back injury that requires me to take several high dose opiate pain killers that irritate my stomach and cause nausea and difficulty eating. I find that of all the things i take, pot is the big layer across the top that keeps it all in check. It is my balance to life and an alternative to mind altering pharmecuticals to treat my depression, anxiety, and ADHD with out creating a dependancy. Not as helpful for the ADHD but it helps me to slow down and analize the situation before taking a huge leap in an irrational direction. Now, I am not saying that i couldnt live without marijuana, but that it eases my life everyday. It is a plant put here by God (or whom ever your higher power is) and in my studies, i am instructed to eat and drink from the fruits and animals of the land. SO THERE! sorry if this was long-winded but i want the world to know the purpose and that we are not all horrible criminals.

I put on reacreational but I also smoke because I have ADHD and ritalin as it was caused me to become unsocial too mellow and total loss of my appetite [they said I was so skinny not even the smallest size shirt would fit me]. Thats why I'm totally against the use of ritalin it totally screws you up I still have side effects from ritalin today.

I have to tell the truth here, I quit smoking/eating pot. So I couldn't honestly say how I use it because I dont use it anymore. Lucky for me, after the detox period, I dont miss it and have enjoyed some weeks without. When I use to be doing it I'd say it was a mixture (e- all of the above) but mostly medicinal--

pot can actually heal people and limiting its use to terminally ill geriatrics is just a step backwards IMO.

Most recreationally, but also spiritually. I get marijuana medically too, although my pain is now cured .

I voted recreationally, but if my stomach is ever upset, it settles my nausea almost immediately. It helps with my PMS as well.
