I use it for recreational purposes, medical, and spiritual as well.

Normally, I use weed to connect with music more and get a better, more in tune vibe going on. Also, I use it to become more in tune with my surroundings be it people, animals, or perhaps even myself. There is nothing like pondering your thoughts stoned, with someone, by yourself, or an animal. Also, it's a good mood stabilizer for me. Keeps my anger and agitation to a low, while increasing the happy. I am also developing some back problems, so I occasionally wake and bake and that takes care of everything, right away and keeps the back pain from waking up away for the day and night. I use it for all reasons, some times some more than others, but generally I use weed in all of it's capable uses to experience it the most and best I can.

I picked recreational, although, i guess you could say i use marijuana for medicinal purposes too, sometimes when i cant sleep ill smoke a fat jay, and it will help me sleep. Other times, after a long night of partying, i will wake up with a hang-over, and getting high, helps relieve the head-ache, and the upset stomach feeling.

I use it for recreational purposes, and also to help with my depression and occasional pain. I guess you could say it's a wonder drug, haha. Also helps me sleep, and helps with my appetite when I have problems eating.

I would tend to use it purley on a Recreational basis..
Nothing beats a nice few tokes after a long days work..

I use it to meditate,relax, try to achieve nirvana (Which i havent lol) and basically to conect with music and nature

well i guess i like it for recreational and spiritual reasons, i often stop for a couple of weeks then start back up to keep the feeling pristine.

but i agree it takes me to a place where you can not get to without it, totally focused and in one direction.

and i agree with the sleep thing, i sleep like a baby.everyone in the world should have a hitty before bed...

and there are no consiquences as with other substances, as addiction, hangovers, serious family problems, violence and such. just a smile and a case of the munchies...

now heres a funny but true thing. you can tell what kind of smoker you are by how you smoke...

you are a "responsible" smoker if you:

make your munchies BEFORE you smoke.
have your work or project thaught out and tools laid out ahead of time...
have that exra lighter handy....
make sure there is plenty of drink ( sorry i know its funny but im a die hard cherry/grape koolaide man) ide trade it for beer anyday...

ok enough you get the picture.... and if you dont do these things you must be the irresponsible ones, which is just fine too, you just smoked too much...

Soda has a good point. I've felt guitly about smoking before, and it was never because I was breaking the law. It always came back to cannabis casting too large of a shadow on my life. Whenever I feel guilt from smoking, I take a step back and re-evaluate my relationship with the plant.

That said, I am a recreational user. I'm 18 years old in good shape, I never need to use it medically. It's very odd though. I am deaf, and my smoking buddies are autistic bipolar. I think that we're all self-medicating on some level....

I self medicate for depression and ADD. It makes me happy and able to pay attention, a great combo right before classes.

I am also a recreational user. It enhances life. And I like it. A lot.

I've never felt guilty about smoking, probably because I don't feel that its wrong. It has only had a positive influence in my life and I'm thankful for discovering its benefits.
