I too am a spiritual smoker but that isn't how it all started for me. At the suggestion of a friend I smoked some pot..for medicinal purposes..more then 25 yrs. ago...My father "crossed over" more then 22 yrs. ago and I was having a tough time "letting go". I talked to my Dr. and asked if he had any suggestions..He told me to lay a blanket on the floor late in the evening when it was really quiet in the house. Sit on the blanket and start thinking about my Dad...etc...I won't go into it but, the suggestion worked. Once I started "smoking" I was suprised at the amount of people that I knew who used it as a recreational outlet instead of using alcohol. I hope someday in the very near future people over the world will realize the benefits of this plant. It has helped me in so many many ways.

I smoke to relieve anxiety and the stres of life. Right now though it is no good for me since I have to stop since I lost my job in October due to layoffs (last to be hired, first to be fired) and so I have had to abstain in the last few months in order to stay clean for potential jobs. The problem is that the job market is so bad that I have had to stop for months where I only wanted to stop for a month or so until I was employed. When I do smoke, it helps me to calm down, relax, and deal with life. Day to day now without smoking I notice I always have butterflies in my stomach and I just don't feel right. I take medications for this, but they pale in comparison to the effects I get from smoking. But due to my position lately I have not been able to smoke for so long. It is a sad story that I have to keep abstaining until I am employed again, and that day could be this week or months from now. And as long as it takes to get a job, is as long as I have to go without smoking. Pre-employment tests are a joke.

When I was in college I smoked to have fun, but when I realized how well it helped me mentally, I knew I could not go on with life without it. It is not a dependance; I have been clean for months now, and I can stop whenever I want to, but the thing is I don't want to stop, and that is what has made the pasts months so hard. I wish I could be employed so I could smoke again!

and yes a lil before bed is a great way to get to sleep.. especially if u have troubles..
recreationally its great..and if u do have pain..a lil will make u forget all about it..

i still dont see how they can have alcohol legal...and not weed.......its stupid

I'd have to agree, i smoke for just the same reasons..I find it totally opposit...I get energy, to do task on hand ( although it might take me awhile, but the task gets done ) its just an extra step in my walk and i dont care if people give me dirrrty looks...im not killing and breaking laws. Well yeah right. Anyway smoke till you cant move and party like its your last day on earth..peace out....

I smoke marijuana medicinally as well as recreationally. I have IBD and glaucoma and when I use it frequently I find my IBD symptoms disappear. My eye doctor has told me that my intra-ocular pressure (what causes glaucoma) has gone down to normal. Unfortunately, for various reasons, like moving, employment drug testing and lack of $$, I haven't been smoking a whole lot lately and my eye pressure has gone back up again.

i voted for medical because my partner has got gluacoma and although i my self have never done it i am writing for the both of us.

I chose medicinal purposes. I have been battling depression for 11 years and I have tried a few different anti-depressents. Marijuana is the only thing that has helped me find myself again. It has helped me in so many ways socially, emotionally and physically.

I Chose recreational use, but I can also say I use it spiritually more often now that I am older(36). I began purely recreational as a teen, and than abruptly stoped smoking when I married and began having children, Years after I was with an old friend who passed one over, so I had a few hits, and I realized what I was missing, how it made me relax. set me at ease and helped me concintrate it the fast paced world of today and the fast paced kids I have. I am now more laid back, and am able totake in all that is arround me and understand it all. I am also attempting my first grow, as i said I hav kids and they are expensive as well. And yess I am responsible enough to keep it away from them, untill they are responsible enough to decide for themselves.

I smoke purely for recreational purposes. I enjoy it and so i smoke at parties, car rides, and concerts. Argueing against some people who feel weed makes you a danger on the road, I have smoked a couple of blunts on long car trips and i find it makes the trip more relaxing, which makes me drive straiter and more carefully.
