anyway

In a bar or something... they woulnt necessarily let u smoke.. but may serve u weed drinks (being legal wouldnt be considered such a waste of weed)

i know in amsterdam this is not necessarily the case.. but it would be an easy option out of getting "passively high"

Second hand pot smoke doesn't affect the hair test results as much as crack smoke does mainly because exhaled smoke contains no THC. The only pot smoke that contains THC is the smoke that hasn't entered the lungs.

If that's true then he doesn't need to worry about getting high from 2nd hand smoke ... which would also mean that holding smoke in doesn't make a difference, but I think it does!?

What about a person who sits in a bar or restuarant for say 90 minutes........not drinking alcohol. Can't they be influenced by the second hand smoke and essentially leave there impaired, despite not having used themselves?
An experiment is in order. I don't think anyone really knows too much about getting high second-hand, I mean if your in a room filled with ganja smoke and not smoking yourself you're a loser or just lost.

So, back the experiment. Someone try and get someone or something high on second hand smoke. Siblings, animals, parents, whatever. 1 2 3 go.

What do you mean? We just concluded it is nearly impossible to get high from second-hand smoke exposure. You would have to be enclosed in a very small room without air circulation or ventilation and there would have to be a lot of smoke in the room. Don't try to get your animals high, that's a bad idea. There have been a lot of studies on the levels of THC acquired from second-hand smoke, and there just isn't enough there.

You have to take things less seriously. I was being jovial you silly goose egg.

EDIT:
I started out serious but then quickly went into a high delirium of jovial-ness. Word. Have you ever gotten high or tried to from second hand smoke exposure? Doing it yourself will teach you much more than logic can.

Double edit:
And I look down on people who get their animals high as much as you do, especially if it involves making them breathe smoke.

As a Senior Member you should be aware of the Policy about Stoning Pets, and you appear to be aware that there is some sort of Policy against what you have previously posted.

In way of clarification, the following:

Stoning Pets

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Official policy regarding pets and marijuana:

You (the human) decide whether or not to smoke marijuana, but pets cannot make a conscious decision on whether or not what they consume will cause potential damage. Until the day that animals, other than humans, can make a reasoned judgement concerning marijuana based on the available facts, and verbalize them, this subject will remain off topic.

"So, back the experiment. Someone try and get someone or something high on second hand smoke. Siblings, animals, parents, whatever. 1 2 3 go."

Freedom of speech I'd say! While I would never get a pet high and would actually go out of my way to prevent such an occurance (how do I even know it would be pleasant for the animal) conducting experiments on animals I feel is morally sound, if it is for the cause of science and progression. True, a study was once conducted where gas masks of cannabis smoke were placed on a bunch of rhesus monkies for five minutes with no oxygen and then their brains were hacked out and used to "prove" marijuana causes brain damage....but you know what I mean....like legit experiments. But really, I was very high and joking around though, sorry to offend ya momma.

EDIT:
You don't really think someone is going to listen to me and do that, do you? I'd really get a kick out of it, though it would be wrong etc.

Double edit:
But (no one do it though), you must admit that if someone carried out with the experiment we'd end up with a much more clear answer then we have now. It would be firsthand, well really secondhand to all of us, and so the most accurate. Though, I say again, don't do it.

One thing seems to have not been mentioned. Most people on here who said getting high on second hand smoke in such an environment as a bar/restaurant would be unlikely are marijuana users themselves (I'm assuming) and would have a higher tolerance to it. If the topic starter wasn't a marijuana smoker, he wouldn't have a tolerance at all. Remember the first time you got high? I bet you didn't use nearly as much weed as you do to get high now.

Do you think a lack of tolerance could make it so he would be able to get high on the tiny amount of thc in the second hand smoke? I think it may be possible.

Most of my friends smoked pot before I did, but I never got high on second-hand smoke. I guess that's why I started smoking it first-hand.
