Default Do you donate to the cause?

I give up around $500 a year and too much time to recognize to fighting the war on drugs. You could even say I have made a business of it.

I got a letter from a friend at the Drug Policy Alliance today and it reminded me that it was about time for me to do something.

Im curious how or if you support ending the drug war? Do you give time, money or do you prefer to stay anonymous and maintain the status quo?

Well, if you count my time over at hempcultivation I give a lot of time. Don't really know if that counts or not, though.

I have given maybe 1/10th of what you gave money wise (to MPP). So I guess bottom line is I haven't given nearly enough.

I would definately count your time over at HC.Com, Plains! You have helped so many people in more ways than you even know! You're an "Enabler". You enable others to become self sufficient in cultivating their own Marijuana and thereby helping them to avoid persecution. This is a war and we need all types, bro.

Default I live it.

You Live It or Lie It
Metallica

I maintain a "high" profile here, as well as at the Smirking Chimp, where I badger them from time to time to understand how Dems could use reefer madness to their advantage.

I spend at least an hour each morning - 7 days a week - finding news or formatting and tweaking stories submitted by others. I encourage those with "socio-political perspectives different from my own" (rightwingers) to do the same, so that this site doesn't look like I own it.

(I sometimes get mail from people wanting money - they think I am wealthy or something)

Away from the computer, I spend a good bit of time talking with strangers when possible about relegalization and the oil/cannabis link. So often people can be seen processing it and when I add the bit about diesels and vegetable oil, their eyes glass over and they get a rather overwhelmed look on their faces.

I recently discussed this with a mortgage lender, a disabled American Vet, some old woman in a store...a rock band....and others.... I just talk about it and forget who. its just important to spread the news.

Even my parents are on board, though they frown on pot smoking. Dad grew up on a farm in the 30's and vaguely remembers the vegatable oil diesel bit.

However, I am not like David Malmo Levine, or Marc Emery, or Ed Rosenthal, or the people at ASA- Superstars of the activist front.

I live in constant fear of the police because here in the South it is not remotely as free or progressive as the West or Canada. Freakin' Police State here.

SO I balance educating people with keeping a very low profile in the real world. I can;t do much in jail.

Well, I just donated for the first time a few months ago, I could only afford to give $50 since I haven't been working as much because of school. But I really think more people need to dig deep and donate to the cause be it time or money. Even a few dollars makes a difference, so if you can afford it I recommend looking into donating https://secure.mpp.org/donate/ann_index.php?ref=98

i had always been just your general pot head. content to just purchase from dealers and hide in the shadows like many do,but after finding MJ .com i have grown to question the "status quo".
the internet has let us realize (along with some states acceptance of medical MJ) that there are MILLIONS out there that think MJ prohibition is outdated.

i can't afford to contribute $$ to the cause
i really can't write in the capacity it takes to be beneficial writing to officials.
BUT , i can help as many people as i can learn how to grow their own on MJ/HC.com.

(BTW plains, i your patience time, and understanding are appreciated by all)
