I know a few people who meet the criteria for addiction. Well, two people I guess. One of them has tried to quit many times and always fails. The other just is never gonna try. Both of them use marijuana as a medicine to deal with bipolar disorder (the one who tries sometimes) and asperghers (the one who is going to smoke every day for the rest of his life, no question).

The way I see it, no matter how non-addicting a substance is, your self-medicine will always be pretty addicting in a sense.

I didn't say I'm not addicted to video games. I said feel the same way about weed and video games, it's up to you to decide whether that fits your definition of addiction or not.

I just know when I have it I'm usually high from wakeup to pass out.. Everything is better (more entertaining) and i'll confess things going on in my life don't annoy me as much either but I am 99% sure I don't use it as an escape. I just love MJ, we decided to get married as soon as we met in 8th grade.. hehe. I may very well be addicted because i've lost close to a year of my freedom in the past 3 years in a few different situations and every time I got out I've went right back to her.

If that's addiction so be it, but if day in and day out I work hard and get my living expenses taken care of myself imo if you got that down you deserve to get throwed. Oddly enough I smoked a nice fat cigarillo before finding this topic

hey ive been smokin for 3 years ALL THE DAYS all the time, Basically i dont get high, I STAY HIGh, but lately havent smoked for a week now, I knoww im an "ADDICT" because my hands SWEAT when im not smoked, since I saw this Symptom I had to say.. damn this thing is consuming me....
Now im trying to chill and not smoke daily..
We gotta learn to be high and be sober... not always high....
Im a weed lover and a weed defender but dont let it overcome ur liberty...

I'm not addicted to marijuana in any way. I use it as medicine. If I don't have it, my nausea and pain are worse, but I don't freak if I don't have it. I just try to not let myself run out completely so I'll have it when I'm really sick.

I'm a medical user, but the high doesn't hurt, either. I vape a bit before bed every night, which is the only way I know to control a sleep disorder, other than drugs that leave me zombified for half the next day. I generally don't smoke at other times because most things I enjoy doing require some short-term memory. Mine goes away when I'm high.

When I don't have any weed, life becomes more difficult because I have a hard time getting a good night's sleep. Because of this, I buy in quantity and start looking for a new QP when I'm down to a month's supply.

i know that mymother has trouble with her thyroid too, does smoking marijuana help alleviate the symptoms????

Well, a habit is a repeated behavior that one does, typically because they relish it, from what I know as a definition, so I can see how being "habitually addicted" makes sense, and I'd admit that I am "habitually addicted" as well, and I would say that more than half of the members in this community is as well.

I agree.. but to me habits are different than addictions. I know and accept that marijuana is bad for me on some ways, but it also is good for me in some ways. You take the good with the bad, and you either continue to do it or you don't
