| Often the complaint from the Reefer Mad is that if the Evil Weed is legalized - that is, made legal again - then people who don't smoke now will rush right out to smoke mary-ju-wanna because the only thing stopping them is their blind obedience to the Law. They also want to insinuate that people will smoke more and more. The Law saves us from ourselves, they believe. Studies from Holland, essentially, show that the percentages of people smoking either stay the same or decrease, though, with prohibition still in place around the world, use continues to increase. So enough of Government lies and propaganda, tell us what you think: If marijuana was made legal again, would you change your smoking pattern or habits? If so, how? If not, why? Thanks!

| I voted re-legalization would not change my pattern of use. I imagine very few would actually "smoke more" unless, for the shear fact that they cant get it for themselves now and dont know any growers - Hell, tbh- I might even smoke less if it were legalized as I would at least know when the next time I was gonna get high was. good poll -

| Well for me if weed was legalized I would probably smoke more. The amount of and speed at which I smoke is directly related to my ability to get it. During School I only smoke on weekends, and during summer with my lack of connections I go weeks with out it. But if it was legal prices would go down and availability would be a whole lot easier. So I answered I would smoke more ![]()

| If pot was made legal i wouldn't change my smoking habits at all. It's not like i do it because it is illegal. In my opinion the law doesn't stop people from smoking pot. Most of the people i know don't smoke pot for reasons other then the law. I think that if pot was made legal those who don't smoke would continue not to do so and those who already smoke pot obviously don't care about the fact that it is illegal so i don't think they would change their habits either. But thats just my opinion... |

| I can honestly say that I would smoke more, simply because at the moment I am smoking very occasionally due to outside pressures. If it were legalized, I would be allowed to smoke more. Smoke tree ![]()

| I'd have to say that I would smoke more, since I currently smoke occasionally because of potential job interviews (drug tests) and lack of funds. If it were legalized I could enjoy it more often and not have to worry about flunking a piss test, or shell out a lot of dough for a bag of weed. Of course, I'm growing my own to eliminate the whole buying/selling problem, but it sucks when you've got new buds to try out and have to abstain because of an upcoming drug test. ![]()

| I would not change my habbits for manny reasons, and those taking this poll should think about it, you have fund availability, saftety for yourself and others (driving, working,ect....) most of those voting are those that I belive to be in their teens, so of coarse the are gonna increase their use. This is why I belive that when leagalization occures, it will be considderd a controlled substance, like alcohol, and must be 21 or older. Im not passing judgment on all teens, but for the most part teens are more irrisponsable. I dont mean to preach, but I have been there. As a teen I partyed like a mad man as I got older I became more responsable....sure I still get smashed.....but I no longer go out and rip down street signs and act like an imbicile eitherPeace Out Man |

| At first I thought my answer would be no change. But after more thought I realized that, like Greenbud said that if I did not have to worry about drug tests, there would be more occasions when I would be able to smoke and not worry about failing. If it's legal, they ain't gonna test for it, right? The second reason I voted "smoke more" was that it stands to reason that pot would be even more available in better quality. There is also more of a chance for impulse buying. For example, let's say "Jim" is walking down the street and comes to "Bob's Pot Stop" and sees Bob has that "new and improoved" Hawaiian bud he has been hearing about. Unfortunatly, with legalization, Madison ave. advertizing will jump in with their dubious claims. Anyway, Jim,(like me) being somewhat of an impulse buyer, rushes into the store to try some of this new product. He might not have planned on smoking that day, but HEY, this stuff is NEW! These are my theories and I'm sticking to them...for now anyway... |
