You can't say that caffine isn't a drug when u added it to the list, and there are a few religions out there who won't take it because they refuse to take anything that alteres the mind.(mormons and muslims just off the top of my head) Not to say i compair it with opiates or nicotine(caffine being a very mild stimulant, and the amount in chocolate probably much lower, like comparing a beer to high proof liquore(i guess...i don't know much about chocolate i dont consume any caffine at all)), ur the one who added it to the list :P which has me thinking why u asked me that when u put it on the list and ur question invovled recreational drugs. With the question and your logic that caffine isn't a drug then it shouldn't be up there and i agree because very few people use caffine for recreation, they use it to get through the day...wake up get energy ect...so in effect my question fits it much better since i just offered drugs and not recreational drugs in the what if ![]() (and before you ask yes i am high)

What about these drugs? 7. Speed This would include crystal meth. Way too many people using this stuff in my humble opinion. 8. Barbiturates Downers, dude. 9. Cocaine Powder, rock( what kind of "crack" is that?) 10. Power It may not be a drug, per se but for many politicions it is quite addictive. I'm smoking joe and I approved this thing, I guess, sort of...

Good indica can fire me up better than caffiene, anyway there are other natural stimulants that don't have the negatives of caffiene. As for nicotine, the poisons in tobbaco that cause the release of the endorphins, hormones, etc that give you the relaxed and energized feel are not dependant on nicotine. Alchohol? I would rather leave that alone. The rest of the items listed do not matter to me. Peace

While I do love hallucinogens, if I smoke enough hash, or even rather excessive ammounts of bud, I can hallucinate too. I would never stick a needle into myself. This is of great motivation to me to NEVER do meth, coke, or heroin: http://www.blurofinsanity.com/mugsho...ot_horror.html

I selected hallucinogens, because I love most of them and they've opened my eyes in more ways than I can count, but in my experience marijuana is just a particularly unique and somewhat mild hallucinogen. Hear me out on this: when you're pleasantly high, you're mind feels somewhat expanded, your thought processes are altered, you may feel more creative, etc., which is somewhat similar to a low dose of psilocybin mushrooms. But when you get really high/stoned, you actually full on trip (at least I know I have), and if you've ever taken hallucinogens before, you'll recognize that smoking a lot of high quality weed puts you in an *extremely* similar mindscape as taking an eighth of an ounce of magic mushrooms does. I say mushrooms because that's the type of trip that marijauna reminds me the most of. An LSD trip is completely different, same with the rest of the phenethylamines and most of the tryptamines, as well as Salvia divinorum. Based on the overwhelming similarities, I think marijuana is a mild hallucinogen, which isn't to say it's not unique, the hallucinogens as a group are, in my opinion the most diverse classification of drugs that exists, and all of them provide one-of-a-kind experiences. All that being said, if I did believe marijuana to be in a different class than hallucinogens, then it would be a close second choice, and for the record I enjoy all of the listed substances (except nicotine) on occasion. I'd like to echo Smoking Joe Lee's question: Why weren't stimulants (cocaine/crack, crystal meth and the other amphetamines, ephedrine-group alkaoids, etc.) included in the poll? I'd also like to echo his sentiments about meth, I've only known one person who responsibly used it, and I've known way more than my fair share of tweakers. A03 P.S. Great poll!

Do people DIE from sugar? Perhaps so, but then again, strawberries and peanuts can kill those that have alergies to these things. Then there is lead. Deadly! Especially in .44 caliber doses! Of course I am kidding, Mamabudz. Have a cookie. Oh no! Cookies contain sugar! Celrey mabe... | |
