The first time I smoked anything, it was a blunt so I tried them both at the same time, but I voted MJ. I've smoked cigarettes before and semi-enjoy that lightheaded feeling but it's not a habit I'd like to pick up.

Sometimes a cigarette after a couple bowls can give you a nice feeling, but I don't even make a habit out of that. Come to think of it, that's the only time I'll have a cig period.

I was blown away by the results of this poll... I know many, many cannabis smokers, but im the only person I know who smoked cannabis first. Only recently did I start on tobacco.

I started smoking cigs back in college cause everyone else was smoking too. A year later I tried pot for the first time, but I mostly smoked cigarettes for years after that. I quit in 1993 and didn't pick up another cig until 2000 after my divorce. I started smoking pot regularily in 2003 and now I smoke more pot than cigs. However, I only want a cigarette AFTER I smoke pot and at no other time. I find it prevents the munchies and enhances the high from the pot.

I just wanted to comment on this persons quote. No offence meant at all but if you did any research on the drugs you use then you would know that every joint is like smoking 5 ciggs. So if you smoke 4 joints a day, congrats, you just inhaled enough tar to be a pack a day smoker. Thats what resen is you know, tar. Its just tar with THC in it.

As far as the question goes, I started smoking when I was 12 and started smoking weed when I was 13.

Actually, the anti-drug people tell us that it's 3, not 5. Then there's the fact that this is based on the tobacco leaves compared with the marijuana leaves. I don't know about you, but I don't smoke the leaves. The buds have significantly less tar in them. And the quote you posted had nothing to do with your response.

I smoke cannabis and not cigarettes, but I recently tried one and didn't like it. I tossed it out the window after a few drags.

it is hard to relate tobacco to cannabis smoke intake because in most cases, when you are smoking MJ you are smoking buds, or flowers that are dried, and tobacco is leaves; leaves have a different tar level intake compared to buds; for this reason the research is misleading, and yes, this is how the anti-drug companies tailor their attacks on the community.

Pkus very rarely do people smoke a joint all to themselves; I think it would be funny to see a crowd of people outside of a bar passing around a cigarette so everyone could take a couple of hits; it is funny because cigarette smokers don't do this; just like joint smokers usually share

Me, I do smoke, terrible amounts. I'm cutting down now though, maybe trying to quit by the end of summer. *crosses fingers* I smoked before I smoked weed, but then when I started pot, I stopped smoking, and when I generally halted my smot poking, I started smoking again.

It's wierd that way I guess

When i was 15 i tried marijuana, and had never smoked a cig before but now im a huge fan of picking up some rolling tobacco at the smoke shop and rolling some nice hand rolled cigs after a nice high with MJ.
