According to the latest article, cannabis has been linked to nicotine addiction. So which is it folks, did you smoke cigarettes (nicotine) first, or was it good 'ole Mary Jane?

I never have and never will smoke cigarettes.

I smoked a cigarette before I smoked any weed. In fact, I probably smoked a half dozen or so as a kid, before I ever first touched weed when I was 16. I didn't start smoking cigarettes regularly until I was 18, and I didn't start smoking weed regularly until I was 20.

I choose the "can't remember" option in the poll. Probably at the same time. Though MJ has always been more "fun" than tobacco I think from the start of my carreer as a potsmoker I rolled it with a little tobacco.

Something about the combination appeals to me, although I started with tobacco. Never really enjoyed tobacco till after I started smoking weed, just wanted to look cool or tough or something as a 16-17 year old.

The weed takes me up and the cig levels me off, so I start with weed, then have a small amount of tobacco. When I'm not high I don't smoke tobacco either.
I guess I understand those who mix it together.

I was in 7th or 8th grade - coughed my guts out, hated the taste, and it didn't do anything for me. That ended that. That kept me away from MJ until college. (mmmm Madtown, I miss those days) No drug problems w/ the parents - no trouble with the cops in smallsville USA population 5000. So @ college I finally tried MJ. Coughed, didn't like the taste, but then that mellow stone came on. Man how can anybody say they don't enjoy the couch.

Want to laugh your guts out on the couch - MJ, the only way.

I will never some tobacco. Weed at least does something, tobacco just kills you.

The only tobacco I smoke is the occassional 'victory' Cigar......but I smoked weed first.....

I don't smoke cigarettes, but have tried them when drunk in college once or twice, but only a couple of drags; made me nauscious and light headed, not a good feeling; tried MJ at 19 for the first time out of a Bong with canadian MJ then listened to Pink Floyd for 8 hours, ate a bag of potato chips, and never looked back
