| You people over estimate the power and influence of the U.S. President and most governing doesn't even take place at the federal level. |

| With Bush In Power Expect More: High Gas Prices: The Bush Administration makes money from the Saudi's and the Saudi's make money from the Bush Administration. This is well-known in financial circles. The gas and oil industry are happier than they've ever been. They are enjoying some of the best windfall profits in decades right now. All the while middle-class citizens in the United States are struggling to fill up their tanks and emptying what little is left in their pocketbooks. More Drug War Crackdowns: Expect Bush and his drug war czar to be arresting and murdering more medical Marijuana patients, interrupting state's 4th and 10th amendment rights while disregarding initiatives passed in those state's by voters by stubbornly claiming 'federal law trumps state law'. More Crime & Terrorism: More of drug prohibition will continue much of the rampant crime and violence rocking our nation and the rest of the world. Unless by miracle Bush somehow reaches out to the rest of the world we will continue to be alienated by our 'allies' and hated by our 'enemies', most notably Arab countries. Less Civil Liberties: With a clear second term and four years to concentrate (he won't need to take two years off again to campaign this time around since he can't run for re-election again--one small solace.) on his Republican-driven agendas, as well as a Repubican controlled House and Senate, and an almost Republican controlled Judicial system, expect 'morals' and 'values' to trump any civil liberty rights you have in the name of 'protecting our children' and 'American way of life'. Not A Republican? You Must Be A Terrorist, By God!!: Expect that if you have any voice of dissent with Bush's policies, or any Republican led policies for that matter; that you must of course be an enemy or terrorist because disagreeing is just plain Un-American.Not A White-Bread Protestant/Methodist/Baptist, Evangelical Christian? You Must Be A Immoral, Valueless Heathen!: Expect that if you don't attend or agree with any of these churches that you will be smote by the mighty power of the Lord and that he will save your dissenting un-saved un-american terrorist soul.Well, anyhow it's all done and over with and not much we can do till we re-group in 2007 and try to clean up this damn mess. I think I'm gonna think of good times until we put another Clinton in the Whitehouse. Go Hillary in 2008!!!

| Um, I won't comment on the rest, but as for Gas Prices...it's not Bush's fault. Check out the situation with China and their unquenchable thirst for steel and fuel. peace

| I'm angry that the secular basis of American government, predicated on the thoughts of men from the Age Of Enlightenment, has been supplanted by "morals" and "values" coming out of a far-right organization that supposedly takes its ideas out of an old book for which they claim divine provenance. I am a rational man and a spiritual man, but not a religious one. In a country with freedom of religion we should also have freedom from religion. I believe that religion has no place in government. We are now closer to having an established religion in the US than we ever should be. The Religious Right, the Bush administration's controllers, has openly stated that their goal is to take over all secular governments, not only in the US but all over the world. They have also declared that they plan to place what they call Biblical Law over the Constitution. In their twisted view, any violation of the Ten Commandments calls for a death sentence. They would execute adulterers and "unrepentant" homosexuals. They are trying to set up the conditions for the apocalypse, which they expect to see within their lifetimes. If they weren't running the country, these people would be locked up in a rubber room. They believe a great "final battle" needs to be fought in the Middle East before Jesus can appear in the sky clothed in Glory. They are in a position to provoke this battle. They have their finger on the nuclear trigger. I am angry that the United States is controlled by regressive, dehumanizing forces. I'm angry that we now have what is essentially a one-party system. I'm angry that the freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution are being eroded. It frightens me that a majority of the American people are ignorant and unreasoning enough to fall for Republican fear-mongering and moral posturing. If you'd like to learn more about the connections between the Republican Party and the Religious Right click on the link below.
