As legal as a packed-'n'-taxed product can be? Maybe.

I will only consider it 'legal' if cultivation is allowed to whatever extent.

Default Why Doesn't Marijuana.Com start a 301c for Donations?

I was just thinking (I know I shouldn't...) that Marijuana.Com is in the perfect position to start a 301c and start taking donations which can be used towards legalization efforts along with NORML, MPP, etc.

Default Wishful Thinking?

I'm already pretty old. But I still have hope that I will see the day that Marijuana is legal for personal use in all 50 states.

While there are always going to be people who think weed is bad, I expect that as people in their 30's enter into more and more positions of political and economic power, there will be less and less emphasis on the horrors of the "devil weed".

It is expensive to wage the war on drugs and as the younger people take power, I expect they will not see the value in MJ prohibition as much as the old guard have since they don't have the emotional or economic investment in it.

'Course, I could just be high on something and imagining things...

Oh and, hi everyone. This is my very first post!

Wink my pov

Hey i'm only 22 and have been smoking since I was 13. I have also believed that it will be legalized. I had a teacher in school, it was a government class and my teacher said that due to profit and the slim to none chances it would ever be cut off or ever banished off the earth that the government would eventually have to see the money making possibilities and the reduction of jail population and crime rate. I'm just a stoner though....What do I know????

Im not really sure where I stand on this issue at the moment. Prior to this year, I would have said that, "Yes, I believe Marijuana will be legalized in my lifetime". But, now I tend to think differently. Im not sure exactly what the catalyst was, but something in the last year changed my view.

What do you guys think? Am I just over-reacting to some political letdowns or do I see "The writing on the wall"?

You definitely are seeing the writing on the wall Rick , with our rights being taken away quicker than we can take a bong rip , and the re-electing of George W , we are ( I feel ) further away from legalization than we have been in a long time . These days I see no hope for marijuana legalization , but I also feel that this could change within my life time . I did not take the pole .

Default Freedom Has Nothing To Fear From The Truth

Ok, currently my state of mind is that our entire civilization, global civilization, is either going to sink or swim. I think that in my lifetime I will see global annihilation, or global liberation.

I do know that this wonderfull world wide network of minds known as the "internet" has been, and is continuing to be, the most important tool we have in progressing life, liberty, and truth. So, as long as the world is not destroyed, or the masses barred from free access to this world wide communication device, I think legalization of cannabis(at the very least) is inevitable and certain.

As for when it is "legalized", i.e. cannabis consumers freed from persecution, I believe very soon, if so by the simple fact that our technology increases yearly(monthly(daily)), and therefore so do our powers of communication.

I consider myself wise for understanding the true nature of cannabis, and I am thankful for the ability to touch other minds and share this understanding. Prohibition has lasted so far only by keeping afloat on a vessal of lies. The sea of truth surrounding this craft is slowly eroding away at it, and it is up to us to keep fanning the winds, and stiring the ocean.(PotShot Note:I am not even stoned right now! *snicker*)

Credibility?

The groundswell for legalization has already started; medical Marijuana, environmental degradation and economic issues will drive the legalization effort. Want to speed things along? Convert three non-believers, each of whom must then convert three non-believers, etc. If every member of the Marijuana.com community would do this, we could have a majority of pro-Marijuana advocates within a year.
