It's deffinately how efficientley it burns my herb and how smooth the affect on my throat and lungs. I don't want to lose the herb to twists, turns or extensions for the sake of appearence. I can even say this if I had unlimited amounts of buds because in The Netherlands I do. A combination of both is not hard to find though so I'll look for a beautiful, functional, and convienent glass pipe in most cases.

Joints are my preferred way of smoking pot. You get more of the good stuff from a joint than any other method but vapor use. I have a number of pipes. An old ebony pipe with bamboo stem is my second favorite as I can hold it in my mouth and fill and light it with one hand. I have a vapor machine a friend gave me, she didn't like it, and I only use it when I have a party and people want to try it. It can get a whole group high on a minimum of pot but it chokes me.

I bought a glass chong pipe about three years ago and it has served me well ever since. This summer I hope to invest in a vaporizer though!

i voted functionality, but artistic value is probably more important, but i would rather have a 2ft roor than a 12 inch handblown glass peice that has artistic value

to me it's all about the cost, i don't care how pretty it is.

I won't spend more than $50 on a glass piece, and for that price it'd better be very rugged. I've seen rich kids fork over $200+ for "custom" "insideout" "blah blah" glass pieces, small ones at that. rediculous!

Down in austin you can get nice glass pipes off the street for $20. That's fair to me, anymore than that and i feel i'm getting ripped off.

But, since i don't live in austin, and i don't want to get ripped off at the local head shops, I don't have any glass pipes that aren't broken somehow.

lately i've been smoking out of these tiny keychain one-hitters that i get from a beer store. you just gotta ask the clerk to see the "keychains" and they know what your talking about. it's pretty funny. but yea, those are like $1.50, i've got like 4 of 'em. and all my buddys have ended up with them too. only thing that sucks is the metal taste.

for me cost is number 1, then function, then art.

chris

Default steamboat?

"I mostly smoke joints in a steamboat because they smoke cool, slow, and don't require re-lighting."

I am 60 years young and I don't know what a steamboat is ...can someone clue me in?

Well , I'm 42 , and as far as I know , a steamboat is a ship that
cruses down the Mississippi .

I guess they call um steamboats cuzzz they exert a greenish smoke like steam that flows from the captains cabin early in the morning .

But that's all I know .

Ah yes, the glass pipe. It was my first, actually. A small, blue and black glass pipe about 2-3 inches long with a nice bowl. o.o The screen didn't fit proporly though. ^^ It also had a choke. But yeah... I personally dislike glass pipes. They collect too much resin and make the high less enjoyable. Also, they are hard to scrape if they are shapped oddly and can be fragile, depending on the brand and type. ^^ But it was my first pipe, and I recommend buying one if your into neat-looking things.
