Oh no, I'm not talking about having a huge left margin. Just a small one.

When the posts are right next to the margin, it makes me feel like I need to scroll over because the text is cut off... even though it isn't. It's like reading a book where the left margin is practically starts at the binding.

Even if it's only a tiny margin, it's better than nothing.

Wait, I'm confused by your picture, that's the opposite side? If you're on a 1024x768 resolution (like I am), there should be, let's see here 15 pixels on the left and right side of you. If I increase that margin on the left, then I have decrease the size of the main column (the one that the forum is in).

One thing I could do, however, is add some space in the actual box where people's posts come up. See how your avatar has some space on the left of it? What if the actual heart of the post had some spacing like that on the left (and right) side?

Yeah, that was a pic of the other side's margin. I meant by that pic to get at least a margin like that over on the left side. I should have explained it better. I'm in 800x600 which is why I don't see any left margin.

Hmm... I see when you click on the attachments it automatically puts a white margin around them. That isn't on the screen in either resolution.

What I would like to see is the margin in the 1024 done for the 800 too. There's no darker green to the left of the post in 800x600.

Yeah the left margin is somewhat bothersome. Also, I don't mind the new colors but the needs to be more of a "contrast" between them. The old design had good definition and contrast between the color schemes.

wow,checked onto the site today,what a difference a day makes,it looks cool but I lost some space,too bad,it was perfect,and I always say if it's not broken leave it alone,it really is a pain shifting back and forth to read something,but what will be,will be just my opinion,but it does grab your attention,cool,I was going through some old stuff today,and I found a tape that I thought was long lost,I got it in late 69,it's called Have a Marijuana,it's on 8-track,so I will be busy tommorrow putting it on cd,it's really a funny tape, if you can find it it will probably have to come from an oldie's warehouse, but you should try to locate it,it really is a classic,I think it was Zappa inspired,they were doing some pretty weird things then,it came out about the time the first Hot Rats album came out,by and by I like the new look, if we could get a little more space I'd like it alot better,any suggestions? Here's a good question for all you older rocker's out there,who is the man that got out of jail after close to 30 years,for a crime he didn't commit,Bob Dylan wrote a song about it,he could and would have been the next champion of the world at that time? That quote, including attached picture, is exactly how I feel.

And HL, yes, moving the heart of the post to the right would help. However, the site would look better as a whole with the margin on the left like CheebaMonkey showed. Maybe it's my resolution, but as far as I can see that's my only problem with the new layout.

Well if you're at 800x600 you won't see a margin, because the margin is set to auto, which is why everything is centered in the middle. If you're at 1024x768, you'll have a very slight margin (15 pixels to be exact). Higher resolutions won't have any complaints about the margin being too small, but probably too wide. I'll see about adding some spacing in there though, and when I do I'll get some input on that.

I don't like that there is no link to my PM's in the 'welcome back' box. Is there when you have a new PM?
Um, I also don't like that I have to scroll over to see that column on the right hand side, that is annoying. What is that? resolution or soemthing? I know nothing about that stuff.....
However, I like the colour, its very pretty

Yes, when you have a PM, you'll see a link in the "Welcome Back" box showing you the number you have. And if you have 800x600, then yes, you have to scroll over.

I like the "new" new design (7/18/2006) much better than the "old" new design (7/17/2006). The charcoal background is much easier on the eyes than the green one. Overall, the "old" new design was just too GREEN.

The "new" new design also resolves the problems I was having with the huge left margin. Thanks, HL!
